I like the train system because I travel to Chicago using the train. I wish there was a big sign showing the directions to the rail station when coming from Highway 6 at Center street. This gets confusing when coming at night to the station. I am very thankful for the building for waiting passengers and also thanks for the new parking lot.

My sons first trip on Amtrak and he loves trains at a young age of four. Upon exiting the train in Waterloo the conductors saw him off. Conductor gave him a train whistle to blow and yell ALL ABOARD. They also gave him a junior conductor badge.

Our sleeping car attendant even surprised him with a coloring book and grayons and a junior conductor hat she clearly must have purchased at an Amtrak gift shop during a long stop. Superior customer service and a great first Amtrak experience!

I'm thankful there is a stop for me to get on and off the Amtrak. However, this is open to the cold and wind. There was talk two years ago of putting a building here. Last year Fort Wayne talked of making a train connection. Please, put a building and employe someone here.

My two sister-in-laws traveled by Amtrak to Waterloo via Chicago from Seattle. Trip, as they put it was great, except the train would stop in the middle of nowhere. Obviously something was wrong. They arrived in Chicago more than two hours late, thus they missed their train to Waterloo. Was allowed to travel on the next train. Their they met a very unfriendly Amtrak employee, might have been the conductor. He informed them in very harsh and demeaning words they were only allowed carry on luggage and not allowed to put the two large pieces of luggage on his train. After other passengers became involved the other passengers loaded their luggage on. He did not help unload at Waterloo. One sister-in-law walks with a walker. Not a good public relations scene.
