Friendly staff, good food, prices aren't bad, took a long time to get our food after ordering. Otherwise it would have been a full 5 stars. I would go back anytime.
Pretty good food with a good amount of muen options. I've been here a bunch of times and ordered several items. Some things are better than others but I've never been disappointed.
Great place for lunch meetings, as well.
Good menu with interesting food choices. Great place for groups and to catch up with friends. Business lunches work here too.
Sometimes the food is slow to arrive.
Becky was the bartender. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We got coconut shrimp which was a little overcooked but still delicious. Had a pretty decent beer selection not very exciting for a beer lover like myself but definitely a lot of excellent beers.
I eat the open face beef Manhattan and it was absolutely wonderful. Went really well with my Wee Mac from Sunking. I will definitely eat here again and I recommend you to eat here as well.
I have always wanted to eat here, I finally had the opportunity to do so, honestly my expectations we're not met.
The atmosphere is very friendly, the servers are friendly and helpful. The building itself is relatively new so it's clean and very nice.
My 3 friends and I were very disappointed in the food. The fries were very soggy and not good. We had buffalo shrimp and it was very salty.
Our meals were mostly burgers and a French dip, the meat was very dry for all of us. The onion rings and the Beer (Stella) was the only good thing of our meal.
Overall we were very disappointed in the food. I would not come again, there are better places to eat.
Greeted with a cheerful "Welcome!" and a smile. Great food, friendly service (but not overbearing), good selection, good portions, good prices, pleasant atmosphere (and not too loud, like many places). Good overall value. One of my favorite spots for a business meeting or a casual conversation with friends.
As always the food was nicely prepared and delicious. Atmosphere is always laid back and relaxing. Great place to have an adult beverage and a bite to eat after a long day at work.
Went for lunch with my sister and brother. Great atmosphere! Our server was really great! I got the breaded tenderloin. I've had a lot of tenderloins, but this is definitely one of the best! My sister got the Cheeseburger salad. She said it was absolutely amazing! My brother got the same as I did. He was very impressed.
My overall experience at Walts was perfect! Will definitely go back. Highly recommended! 💖
BEWARE THE HIDDEN FEES
We've been to Walt's many times over the years. The food is pretty good — a bit pricey for pub grub — but my wife likes the buffalo wings, so we go from time to time.
Since our one-year-old wasn't feeling the best, we decided to order some takeout for lunch today and got hit with an unexpected 10% upcharge on every item we ordered.
I asked the bartender/manager why the prices were different and his first reply was: Where did you see the prices?
I replied: On the menu I downloaded from your website.
Then he says: Yeah, we charge a little more for To Go food because of all the extra stuff you get.
I said: Extra stuff? What? Like styrofoam containers?
And he agreed.
Are you kidding me?? I'm paying an extra $1.30 for the 5 cent styrofoam container that your (already overpriced) wings come in??
I've never experienced anything like this before.
I mean, I get that someone has to pay for these supplies but are they charging people for boxes to put their leftovers in? Is there a 10% cleaning surcharge for every plate, glass and utensil the people dining in the restaurant use?
The logic just doesn't check out.
The first person I asked about the price difference was the kid at the host stand. He said, "Yeah, I think they charge more" and quickly scoured the menu, but wasn't able to find any fine print to support the claim.
(I couldn't find any either. Even when I checked the website again after getting home.)
I said to the host: That's really strange.
He said: Yeah, it's kinda stupid. I don't know why they do that.
Me either, kid. Me either.
Prices are on the higher side, but you'll find your typical pub food here. Mostly deep fried delicacies. I had the Boilermaker burger last time I visited, which is basically a deep fried cheeseburger. It's about what you would expect. It's also about as delicious as you would expect.
Quaint atmosphere. When we arrived most of the down stairs was reserved for parties and my kids and I had issues finding a table. I ordered a French dip. The meat tasted like a prepackaged beef which was discouraging for the price point. I also paid extra to add fries that were small in quantity, cold, and tough to eat. My 4 year old ordered Alfredo off of the kids menu which was as far from Alfredo as possible. It was a buttery tasting milk. Neither she or my teen would touch it. All in all a very discouraging trip. We could have eaten at olive garden for almost the same price. .. we more than likely will not be going back.
Delicious food. I had the the fish and chips. Fish was cooked perfectly. Had the breaded mushrooms as an app and the portion was large and tasted great. Friendly wait staff as well, will be going back.
One of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette. Great food and the staff is fast and efficient even during busy times. Recommend the Ribeye steak sandwich and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich in particular. The wings are really great here with a cold beer.
I have never had a bad meal from this place. Highly recommended.
