My fiancé and I lived in a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment on high street. The apartment itself was very nice and spacious, and we did not have any issues with our housemates. The maintenance workers are timely, respectful of you and your space, as well as some of the kindest people I have ever met. On the other hand, with the exception of Kelly, the office workers are fairly rude and talk down to you. When I would call to report a problem or have questions, they always made me feel like I was bothering them. On multiple occasions they tried to show the apartment without giving us any form of formal notice, and on top of that woud just walk in after one knock.
We also had an issue where a pedestrian reported our dog for being "aggressive" just based on the fact that she is a pitbull,. Instead of asking us what happened or getting any information from us Walk2campus sent us a text informing us that our dog would be removed if the behavior happened again. Mind you that they property manager had met our dog a few months prior and told me how sweet of a dog she was, after confronting them about this, we received a half-assed apology text.
When we moved into the apartment it was filthy; all the counters and cabinets were dirty, the floors had to be swept and mopped, and the bathroom had to be completely cleaned. When we moved out they took 3/4 of our security deposit because it wasn't "clean", they charged us over $140 each. Since all of the apartment was shared by my fiancé and myself, they were able to charge us individually instead of dividing between to the two of us, which we were originally told would happen. On top of everything there was broken glass all over the ground on the side of the house. We told them about the glass but they did nothing about it, in consequence, our dog stepped on a piece that pierced through her paw pad to the bone. After informing them of this, they told us the glass would be cleaned up yet almost 6 months later the glass was still there on move out day.
I would recommend living with them only for the reason of it being cheaper than living on Longwood's campus and offsite dorm housing but be cautious of Walk2campus. Like other people have posted, they will try to get every penny out of you and are fairly rude with the exception of Kelly and the maintenance workers. They are getting 2 stars instead of 1 because I have such high praises and respect for the maintenance team.
DO NOT LEASE FROM THESE PEOPLE. They will fine you for everything they can while constantly trying to get you evicted. They may act and smile like they "understand the student life" but you are nothing but a check to them and they will milk it for all its worth. I would have rather lived at home and commuted the hour to classes every single day. Save yourself the trouble. Lease from literally anywhere else.
These people will scam students out of every penny possible. The people who work here are rude and unhelpful; they never do what they say they will do. Very overpriced for what they offer. Will constantly change tenants account login and passwords without telling the tenants making it impossible for them to pay their bills. Then they threaten late fees when it is their own fault that tenants cannot log into their account to pay their bills on time. Walk2Capmus is NOT worth your money and I would suggest living anywhere in Farmville besides a Walk2Campus property.
