Great Japanese food, very authentic. Udon is terrific and fish and rice. Portions are a little modest and slightly pricy for some dishes. The shop is tiny so expect a wait or come at opening time; no reservations. Cash only for lunch, but there are lunch specials.
Small traditional Japanese dining with separate lunch and dinner menus. The lunch sets are good, and the full dinner menu is full of great options - I over ordered once and was blown away by everything, and ended up finishing. Usually has a few spots at the bar or a kind of short wait for a table.
AMAZING!! The wait can get long, sometimes, but the food is worth any wait. There isn't a thing that isn't delicious here, though my personal favorite is the tuna sashimi over rice bowl. I'd also recommend the beef tongue, but that seems to be a little adventurous for most. If hearing someone eat beef tongue doesn't gross you out, then you're probably going to love how they prepare it here. Ramen is off the chain and their sushi is right up there with the best of them.
Great Japanese restaurant with some different from the usual dishes. Great place to try something new. It is a small restaurant so to may have to wait
A cute place with homey Japanese food. And by homey, I mean comforting -- curry noodles, salted fish, etc. Despite the dining area being rather small, it was quiet inside even though all the seats were packed when we ate there. Service was prompt and very good. I'd certainly come back here for a peaceful lunch!
A tiny (hidden), yet delicious Japanese food restaurant. When I went, the servers had a bit of difficulty speaking English to me, but no matter.
The best part about this restaurant is how cozy it feels. It's small size and family atmosphere makes it a great place to go and quietly chat with friends.
Simple, yet powerful Japanese food. I've even several of the dishes here and they are delicious. Very small, intimate setting. Their black honey dessert is really tasty.
Small plates japanese style. So fun to have variety and high quality from fatty tuna sashimi to a kettle pot rice with pork belly. Delicious
Great for standard Japanese fare, but even better for great less common dishes. Don't forget to order the raw octopus and wasabi appetizer (my 6 year old practically inhaled it) and the yummy fried burdock root salad.
The uni and salmon egg rice bowl was nothing to sneer at, the various rice balls were quite the comfort food, and the noodle soups turned out to be a good pick.
And finally, the selection of homemade desserts was outstanding.
I highly recommend the pork cheek with green onion sauce and the beef rice burger. House made pudding with molasses syrup is an excellent choice for dessert!
Good flavor. Nice people working there. Very quaint (small) restaurant. This allows the staff to attend to you quickly and efficiently. If you want a table make sure to make a reservation. If you want a place to sit at the bar show up as soon as they open. Apparently they close after lunch and reopen for dinner. On Sundays this means 5:30p.m. sharp.
