Dr. Vicki and her staff make every office visit a pleasant experience. She is always thorough and professional and takes a personal interest in every patient. I recently had an eye problem that required immediate attention and was seen and treated immediately. I even received a personal call from the doctor a few days later to check on my progress, which is almost unheard of these days! I highly recommend Vision Care for quality care and service!

Very poor experience. I had been fitted for contacts at another doctor's office in October of 2015. After about a month, I started having problems and could no longer wear them.

I didn't have insurance so I saved up until March of 2016 to schedule an appointment to see what was wrong with my eyes. I explained that while I would like to be able to wear contacts again, I was more concerned about my eye health. I was told to bring to my appointment my contacts, all solutions, etc.

I chose to come here because of the trendyness of the office and the good reviews online. My experience was very different. I was called back to the back by a girl who was very rude and accused me of not cleaning my contacts, sleeping in them, and not letting them sit in peroxide for 6+ hours before wearing them. This all occurred on the walk from the lobby to the exam room.

Upon arriving in the room, the girl and Dr. Jackson had a conversation that made it obvious that they both were dismissing my claims of eye trouble before examining me. Dr. Jackson was not at all friendly. I told her again that I was just concerned with my eye health. She explained that the contacts I was fitted with were larger in diameter than the ones I had worn previously and a different shape, thus creating a suction effect that brought blood vessels to the surface. She fitted me with new lenses and told me to use artificial tears twice a day for two weeks. This whole process was less than 15 minutes.

My experience with the person who checked me out is the only reason I gave a second star. I had been quoted at $70 and she charged me $40. However, she wouldn't give me the type of contact I had been fitted in and told me I had to order a box through them after my 2 week trial. I ended up having the same problem with these contacts so never ordered any more. If they had a deal where you could come back if you had problems, I was never told that. I didn't come back because I couldn't afford another appointment.

Three months later, I went to an eye specialist in Columbus who wanted VCA to send my records to them. I called and was told that it wasn't standard procedure to send records to other doctors. The new doctor had to request it from them. New doctor says that isn't the way it works. I was also told at this time that they did not have record of the type of contact I was fitted with in March but mentioned I was diagnosed with dry eye. This was news to me. I think that should have been told to me by the doctor but she was in such a rush to get me out of the office, she didn't tell me things like that.

I called again a couple of weeks later asking that my records be faxed to the new doctor. This time they didn't say anything about that not being the way it's done. They said they'd send them. But of course, when I got to my appointment with the new doctor they hadn't.

Edit: Almost a year after I posted my review, I got the response you see below. It shows that they're only going to ignore issues, not address them. And violate HIPAA while quoting it.

Exam was through and quick. Noticeable improvement in vision. Dr. Jackson reviewed all that had changed and what to expect in the near future as well as tips on reducing risks for common eye ailments associated with my age. The glasses fit excellent and the person fitting them was very helpful. She even picked out frame for a future pair of sun glasses - which I am going in to order today!

Nice looking office, friendly staff and doctor. Glasses ended up being more expensive than I expected, but that's life.
