Took my car for oil change as it was due. Got call from them that brake light was off so we said fine fix it. again we got a call that there is nail in tire and even though we were able to drive the car everyday without seeing any issues with tire pressure but agreed to fix nail. Getting another call that there is another nail and now this tire cannot be fixed. It was a long day for me and my wife and we told them not to fix anything and asked can we get there and get our car back and drive home ? As after they starting working on tire we were not sure weather we can drive the car. They said they dont recommend me to drive the car. I am like okay replace one tire and they say we cannot replace one tire. This was too much for us and in conversation, this guys cuts phone three times. I had to call him just to find our what's the status of the car. Not seen such rudeness anywhere in any repair shop in this area.
Let me say this is not the first time I caught them in a complete lie. I towed my car in to see why it wouldn't crank. I let them know up from that I do most of my repairs myself as a heads up. They call me back and said they found the problem (a fuel pump). I said ok how much. They quoted me $1000+. I let them know that you can access the fuel pump through a cover in my vehicles trunk and that it's not even a half hour job. It consist of disconnecting 2 electrical clips and 3 hoses 1 ring that twist off and placing the new in reverse order. They insisted that I did not have such a door and that the price was accurate. So I bought the pump to help reduce the price and brought it in because I am not able to drop my fuel tank as they suggested was necessary. Thankful God brought it to my conscious to check, to verify. Low and behold the door was where I told them it was in the truck!
Let me say I don't know what the truth is, if the didn't check or did, but I tend to side with the worst and say they saw a opportunity to rip me off for at least $700.
This is not a place that should be in business and it makes me sad the everyone there is not inclined to be able to know if they are being taken advantage of. The only good part is that they told me what was wrong with my car. I guess that's where the 1star comes in.
Let me first start off by saying Jon was great. If it wasn't for him, I would leave one star. Anyway, I had wheels installed on my existing tires yesterday, and had a couple requests. I told Jon that the wheels are directional, to please make sure they use the supplied hub centric rings, and to change out the center caps. Jon took notes down and put it on the invoice, so I thought everything would be good to go. I was wrongnone of those three things were done. Two of the wheels are facing the wrong way, rings weren't used, and the caps weren't changed. So I called today and asked them to fix their mistake. I think Harris answered and said they could MAYBE get it done today. Mind you, I missed my original appointment for 1:00pm yesterday by about 15-20 min. They told me they couldn't honor the appointment and didn't have my car done until closing. When the tech brought my car to the front of the store, I obviously noticed that the caps weren't changed. No big deal, I'll just swap them at home. Then I got in the car, the rings were still in the bag, so they didn't use them, my mirrors were all adjusted, AND the wheels are on wrong. I don't know why the tech didn't bother to read the notes. Oh and they were of course closed, so I couldn't get it fixed yesterday. Thankfully, Ty at the Ashburn-Dulles location is awesome and getting me squared away now for no charge. DO NOT GO TO PARKHURST UNLESS YOU WANT TO MAKE MULTIPLE TRIPS!
I needed new tires for my camper/trailer. I was traveling through the area and had a blow out. Paul helped me out on the phone and was fantastic. The tires I needed came in early and they were able to take me immediately. Took about an hour. Would definitely recommend.
They were very busy and I had to wait approximately 45 minutes to get my car Inspected. They offer free coffee and were very professional. It's an honest car repair shop. I highly recommend, I've been a customer for almost 20 years and I know cars.
On the last day of the month, I was fully prepared to wait a couple hours for my inspection (I even brought my e-reader to pass the time). I pulled into the inspection line just after 10 and I was on the road before 11! Efficient, friendly, and a very comfortable environment. Will definitely be coming here again!
Nice guys. Didn't rip me off.
Reliable and trustworthy service. Sometimes over zealous on suggesting services that are not urgent but generally do good work.
This place is A JOKE! I went in there two days ago telling them I wanted to get my check engine light OFF & to also tell me why I couldn't pass the inspection! Long story short when I went to pick my car up they told me several different things as to why I didn't pass the inspection AGAIN. Basically wanting to collect all of my money. Saying it would be 114.00 AGAIN for them to detect why my Brake light didn't come on in the car when I use the emergency brake! Then had nerve to say if my check engine light comes on again I can come back to get it diagnosed for free oh but that DOESNT include the 114.00 that you have to pay for your BRAKE light diagnostic! The Clown that was working there from 12-8 a chubby young dude with glasses & long hair was the one helping me OUT which he was no help AT ALL he had no idea what he was talking ABOUT! I took my car to another shop the next day & they told me that it was just a little dust on my censor for the brake light & told me not to worry about it & thankfully I passed the inspection! Oh & by the way my brake light was working! So those IDIOTS ALL OF THEM at that place will basically try to rip you off instead of helping you! Screw this place! Whatever you do don't come here unless you want your whole check to be gone! If I could give you guys no stars I would!
Came today to VA Tire & Auto Ashburn for the first time to get my safety inspection and I am so impressed with the service, the facilities and professionalism from the staff, that I will definitely be using them time and time again. Had to give one star in order to warn other people to stay away from these scam artist. Place looks nice, really friendly people when you are dropping of your automotive investment. Took my tire in to have air valve / tpms replaced. Took 3 hours to fix it. I finally went to the counter to see what the story was. One person working the counter and four people in line. Finally my turn and car was ready 45 minutes earlier. No notification nothing. Tire light never went off. Was told that I may have to take to the dealer to program the sensor. After they told me that they could program it. A week later I find that they switched a brake pad to drum up more business. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, STAY AWAY!
