Very bad university for international students mainly, first and the most important thing is they LOST Accreditation because they are a member of ACICS, so your degree don't mean nothing and plus you cant get your STEM OPT extension which is very crucial to a lot of students after you graduate who needs to get experience in this country in order to be successful. Second, most of the staff are very rude specially the international office or DSO office, they talk to you like you are working for them and they pay your rent, I think they forget that because of students tuition that all these people have jobs. they are few people that are friendly like the folks at the Career center and other areas but mostly anything related to international students offices I feel like they treat you like trash. In the end, if you are an international student DO NOT consider this university you will suffer from the first day you get in and ask for your first I-20 til your OPT if you are lucky to get it because again THIS university IS NOT ACCREDITED. I hope I can save some of you to not make the same mistake me and a lot of people I met made when we first came here.

I am currently a VIU student in the ESL program. It has been a wonderful experience, great teachers and excellent events. I can totally recommend this university of you want to have a good time learning.

very bad handling with registration application that take a verrrrrrrrry long time after that i didn't have i 20 get ready for steal your money at the end be careful from this university

One of the worst universities in USA. It lost it's accreditation in September,2016 and was announced in December 2016. The loss of accreditation is an irreparable loss for the international students. when we ( International students ) try to seek information from the DSO they simply suggested us to join some other university to maintain status. When asked for further help they are threatening to proceed legally.

This is the place where I saw Dreams even when I was not sleeping.
I made my self more confident and mature being exposed to it's diverse environment and not only it's a great University but also a home far away from home :) Rest I can't explain with words :P

This university is authentically terrible . Get ready and wait for them to rip off your money. Admission office staffs are uneducated and unprofessional.

Fun place to study with a relevant and modern curriculum. Easier to reach from main Lee Highway to the Village Drive where it is located. Not only that, a degree from VIU helps in providing successful employment options right here in Fairfax.
