Vinoteque is my new favorite LA spot! I love the European feel in the gorgeous tucked away courtyard. Food is terrific and staff is wonderful. We met the owners while we were dining and they were so kind. I highly recommend.
My #1 place since moving to LA there warm spinich salad and mushroom risotto is as authentic and tasteful as possible
Casual tapas and wine bar in the heart of Melrose. Pretty cute, could be a good date spot.
This is a gorgeous looking Bistro on Melrose with loads of atmosphere.
I sat in the beautiful courtyard area and was greeted by Ryan. He really set the tone with his friendliness and class.
They specialize in wine and Tapas; so I went with a variety of offerings and their wine flight( 3 glasses of different wines).
My favorites of the Tapas were the lamb meatballs in goat cheese and marinara(best I ever had); Fried artichoke hearts(perfectly prepared and delicious).
My favorite wine was the Dancing Lady Zinfandel(Napa Valley) with a full bodied, crisp taste. Ryan, is also a Sommelier; so I was very pleased with his recommendation.
For dessert, I really enjoyed their Molten chocolate cake with espresso ice cream.
The ambience is perfect for romantic couples but also quiet and classy enough for business meetings. There is also a very comfy lounge room adjacent to the Courtyard with a large window overlooking the activity on Melrose.
They are also dog friendly.
Vinoteque is the best Wine and Tapas restaurant I have been to in LA.
Good wine selection at reasonable price. Tapas style and daily happy hour
Came here for brunch and used a Gilt City voucher. The restaurant is typically only open for dinner, except for Sunday brunch. It was great to see the gorgeous patio in daylight. The food was delicious and the bottomless mimosas were plentiful. This is a great brunch spot to visit on Melrose.
Vinoteque was a last minute decision for a quick pre-movie birthday dinner and I'm sure glad we stopped in. Walking in, the first thing you notice is the upscale, but relaxed, atmosphere. Indoor, outdoor, bench, and table seating - but it all worked well within the space. We were in a slight rush due to the film so we sat at the window benches and only ordered off of the happy hour menu. But wow, it's maybe the best happy hour food menu I've ever seen.
About a quarter of the regular menu is available as happy hour portions. We, a party of two, ordered Parmesan fries, a slider, a goat cheese Napoleon, the spinach salad, and drinks. As far as drinks, my gal ordered a rose and I decided on a beer since I wasn't in the mood for a red or a white, but wanted to order something different. The food was fantastic. All of the ingredients were fresh, everything was perfectly cooked, the recipes are all simple but strong, and the food arrived promptly. I'm a fan of rose in general, and the offering they had was very good (especially for the price).
The only complaint I have is with the beer offerings. Unlike the rest of the menu they are clearly not selected with care. I suspected this when I learned the only two options were PBR and some amber that I ordered, but can't recall the name of. It was an entirely unmemorable beer. I asked the waiter, who was attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable throughout the meal, his opinion. He gave me a very non-committal "uh, yeah. It's good. I like it." response. I wish he had just said "Skip it - get the wine".
One interesting point that the waiter made - all of the food is "farm to table" which is, strangely, not a selling point anywhere on the menu or the website as far as I saw. I'm not surprised by this at all because quality of the ingredients is very fine. We made it out of there, comfortably full, in more than enough time to get to the Egyptian for our movie, and for a little over $40 including tip. I would not hesitate to come back during happy hour, or during regular business hours - it's a really nice place.
Nice service and good food. Very drafty inside on a cold night. Better on a warm evening
good wine selection, really nice food. and great date atmosphere
We just visited Vinoteque last night and it was really an awesome experience. We were a party of 20 and the staff went above and beyond to take care of us and make sure our birthday girl felt special. Everybody in our party commented on how incredible the food, wine, and the environment was! We will all certainly be back.
