  I have loved every minute here at Vincennes University. I began here getting my 2 year transfer degree in Electrical Engineering. Once I transferred to a "big" school, I realized the amount of debt I would have to incur and decided against it. I came back here for Electronics Technology. The staff, in both departments, have always been helpful and go above and beyond compared to the "big" school I attended for one semester with what I could afford. I already have a job lined up that pays $30/hr (and will pay for me to finish my engineering degree), doing what I love. This is immediately after graduation. I would disregard *most* of the naysayers. The incident where a student was "threatened" for solely being black ended up being completely fabricated. Video footage of the dorm showed that the student never left their room; he overslept and decided to try to find an excuse and is now facing criminal charges. The culture here at Vincennes University is primarily up to the individual and whom you choose to surround yourself with. Come here for either nursing or a technology program and you are guaranteed to find a career that you will love (while graduating with minimal to no debt).

  Waste of time and resources. The staff are about 15 years behind technology and the offices love to bounce students around all day. Also a prevailing problem with sexual assaults and violence on campus.

  This university is just garbage. The police department attached to the school is a bunch of wannabe cops that take any advantage they can get. everybody I have met has had run in with VU pd, most of which are hardworking rule abiding citizens. my girlfriend's room was illegally barged into by one of vu pd's finest. all the school wants from you is money. The school itself is surrounded by the worst "City" I have ever seen. if you want to see a bunch of crack heads tweaking around the city then you should come here. Now I'm gonna tell you all the dirty stuff V U doesn't want you to know. female attendance is down because of rapes. we had a double homicide from one of the students in my dorm hall. my buddy was actually his roommate. we've had 4 robberies one of which was 4 men with guns at the annex. a guy walked in with a shotgun in my hall. one man was held at gun point by a man with a white hood for just being black. you have to walk forever just to park your car. everybody leaves on the weekends just to stay sane. All the friends that you will make, will drop out. the halls will make your lungs feel weighed down due to mucus. I just want to save you the time, money, and energy that this place exerts from you. IVY Tech is way better, sure it doesn't have a campus but the odds are that you are going to hate this campus just like everyone else i have met. The tour is only going to show you smoke and mirrors but i wanted to show you the other side of this campus just because I want this place to cease it's existence. save yourself or your child by just finding someplace different.   Worst experience with a college I've ever had. I had them paid in full amd recieved a letter stating that last year. It's been paid in full over a year, know they're trying to say i still owe money after a year. All they want from people is money.

  Best welding school in America hands down! Instructors that take time to make sure the student is ready to enter the work force. You can not go wrong attending this program or sending your child to Vincennes University Welding Technology program. My son and many students had a job lined up before they even graduated. Employers wait for the students from this program to finish because they know the value of the foundation each student receives in all process's including robotic welding. Outstanding education for an affordable price!

  Has got to be the most unorganized and unprofessional university in all of America. If I could give it less than one star I would. Do yourself a favor and avoid this school at all costs.
