My 8 week old puppy got very sick. I called about 7 vet offices who all told me they were too busy to see us. I reached Village Gate. They we're completely booked, but understood the urgency to see my dog and made room for me. Everyone in the office was very nice and they were ready as soon as we walk in. Dr. Caudy was excellent. She spent time with me explaining all of the potential causes in a way that kept me from freaking out as the worst case scenario could have been life threatening. Thankfully the problem wasn't anything that antibiotics couldn't fix.
The next day I got a follow up call stating that all final tests were in and confirming there assessment from her initial tests. Then they asked how she was feeling and a few other questions to make sure my puppy was on her way to getting better.
Even though this office is not close to my house, I will be training my little lady there for all of her vet needs.
My daughter found this vet online and she was amazing! I'll be taking all my fur babies here from now on. Very thorough, kind, friendly, explaining everything to us and even providing the most affordable options for medication. I would rate 10 stars if I could!
I took my 2 cats Wednesday morning & it was reassuring to see a vet (Dr.Caudy) that really cares & doesn't just rely on results of tests to give me answers. I will be taking my 3rd cat aswell
This place told me one thing the first day and treated my dog for what seemed to be an upset stomach the following day when she wasn't doing better and I called they said she had cancer this was not said at all the day before it was not even hinted so I've read the reviews of this place in the past and I've read the responses from the owner they're going to come back and try to sugar coat it and somehow blame it on me or that I didn't understand or or something but no it was not said it was not even inferred until I had to get ugly trying to get my dog some pain medication I would not recommend this place to anyone. Had I known it was to be my dog's final days then all I would have wanted was for her to be in comfort and without pain instead I was in turmoil trying to get a final diagnosis trying to reassure that I wasn't being ripped off but they seen a credit card with an unlimited balance and took it from there but I couldn't get a straight answer couldn't get a straight answer I had to sit in the lobby and threatened not to leave until they called the cops I wouldn't recommend this place to No One not even my worst enemy
Top notch. My dog recommends it here !!!
I have been taking my cats to Dr. Caudy and her staff for more than 10 years, and I've always been very, very happy with the service. I've had everything from a batch of rescued kittens and their mama to my elderly hospice kitty to my now 4-yrs-old Clem, from Cat Welfare. Dr. Caudy and her staff have no problem adjusting to the animal, be it hiding in the sink or behind a chair, or 5 little kittens running riot through the room. When I've had to say goodbye to my pets, everyone there is kind, compassionate, and understanding, and treats my beloved kitty as one of their own. They let me say goodbye as long as I needed. I couldn't ask for better care than that I've received here, and as long as I have pets I'll be bringing them here.
Dr Watts was rather nice and professional. We were in and out within 40 minutes. Vet tech was nice too. Easy peasy.
I Foster with HMDD and they use this vet. I have since switched from my vet to this group They are very friendly and truly care about your pet. The cost for an office visit is less then a lot of other places and they have sunday hours. Check them out
We have loved the boarding services here and so decided to try the vet care arm of the operation. My first experience will be my last! Although the vet had great bedside manner with my pet, they were slow to communicate the results of tests, failing even to return calls for >36 H when we reached out to them. The prescription was not ready when I arrived despite the info they initially gave me - they were out of stock- and had been called in to a random pharmacy far from them and far from my home. They neither contacted me to alert me to the change nor asked where I wanted it sent. When I got the prescription called in to the local CVS, the price was MUCH less (more than $50 less) than they had planned to charge me. The office staff were very professional and helpful, but the clinic seems to have very weak organization and communication. Although this was a relatively minor situation for my dog, their management of her situation did not instill confidence in their ability to manage more serious medical conditions. Will not be returning.
If you're looking for great veterinary care for your pet or daycare/boarding services in the Grandview area this is the place! I highly admire and recommend Village Gate. The staff and docs are people who care about your best friend and you! Always good service. Absolutely no complaints. I highly recommend you check it out!
Dr. Watts and the VGAH staff were very helpful and willing to make special accommodations for my fear-aggressive pup during her visit. Dr. Watts and I were able to discuss a behavior plan prior to my visit and create an environment for my dog that minimized her triggers and kept her level of fear and anxiety to a minimum. They were willing to go the extra mile to help make my dog's appointment go as smoothly as possible. Overall this has been the least stressful veterinary experience my dog has had in her 6 years of life. These doctors are willing to spend the time with you if you need it, which is a huge plus when dealing with a behaviorally-challenged pet. I would highly recommend VGAH if you want to have a low-stress experience for you and your pets!
