I love this place! Been taking my dog here for years and every time it's a great experience. The employees are friendly and caring. And both vets take their time answering all your questions and they're very gentle with my dog who gets nervous when he's there. I love it there. Super happy with the service. They even take their time and do a few follow up phone calls just to make sure your pet is ok. I'd recommend this place to everyone!
Since moving to Ventura Los Angeles, I have tried at least 3 vets in the last 2 years in the Ventura area. I will be honest, I was very unhappy with each experience. A friend of mine recommended Ventura Veterinary Hospital and I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome. I am so happy and relieved that I won't have to look outside of the city to find care for my dog Timmy.
Just last week I had Timmy's teeth cleaned and was pleased that prior to the procedure I was offered two methods, one anesthetic free, which was significantly less expensive to the the second option performed under anesthesia. I was provided a detailed estimate with a low and high end figure which provided for the cost of every contingency or unforeseen problem. When I picked Timmy up I had a great consultation with the Dr and she went over what she encountered and what she had done. She did extract one tooth but decided to take a conservative approach to save a different tooth rather than pull it. Most Vets would have pulled it and charged me. My bill was well with in the lower estimated cost.
I found the staff extremely helpful, concerned and caring. I found both Doctors (and owners) kind, gentle, knowledgeable, cost conscious, and thorough.
This was a gold standard experience that I fully recommend and I am so happy to have found them.
A friend recommended them to me. My kitty and I had a good experience. They are caring and friendly with everyone. They answered all my questions. I plan to use them again in the future.
Over the many years of taking my MANY pets to vets, and then roaming around looking for a new one after our favorite retired (Dr. Jim), we went back VERY RELUCTANTLY to this vet clinic/hospital, and we were delightedly surprised. We met with Dr. Mariann, who was the first vet EVER to make our 4 -5 year old puppy happy to be there, then our Female cat Chester didn't even do anything to protest. Sammy is always a little bit of a protester, no matter what, but even he felt more comfortable there. Dr. Mariann is the best, she saved our cat Sammy who had to have immediate surgery after he somehow cut himself outside. And they fit him in immediately that day, in a slot right after we called. They pet the animals and give them attention to make them feel as comfortable as possible. And they give them attention to distract them from the shots too! The moment we stepped back into that clinic and met with Dr. Mariann, the vibe and fear we felt for our animals fearful feelings subsided, and we knew for a fact we were in good hands. She is definitely an old soul. I haven't met a mean or rude person there, and if they hired such a person in the past, let's just say they are gone now. They just know how a safe feeling environment is for pets and humans alike, and they provide one. Definitely, pet approved and recommended!
Dr. Marianne treated Roxy like she was her own dog. After speaking with 10 clinics from Ventura to Bakersfield, this clinic made an appointment in a week and created space to do a surgery the day of the appointment. The cost was 50% less than other Santa Barbara locations and 150% less than the local emergency hospitals. 'Everything you need, nothing you don't,' kind of attitude PLUS compassion, flexibility, practicality, generosity, kindness, patience and the office staff is the same.
