Great place.
Wines were just OK. Could say the same for the staff as they completely ignored my family and I.
Excellent scenery. Amazing wine!!! And backed with a great staff! Overall best vineyard I've been to so far!
Wines are nice, staff are pretty unhelpful. If the wines are named after Wagner characters and operas, employees should probably know a few basic facts about those characters and operas.
I recommend doing the reserve tasting. Costs more, but the wines are much better. They have a great variety of reds. It's pretty busy here on weekends, but worth bringing a picnic lunch for the view.
We had a great time tasting, touring the wine cave, and then drinking wine outside overlooking the mountains.
Great view! The wines were ok, but I'm more of a white wine kind of girl and that's not their strong suit.
Absolutely fantastic wines and views! Valhalla Vineyards has aged wines of the best caliber that can be enjoyed with family and friends while overlooking the Roanoke Valley from the outside tables. The staff was friendly on my visit, but I was disappointed that there was no water provided to rinse my glass between tastings. Regardless of the actual property and staff, Valhalla Vineyards produces my favorite wines in the entire greater Roanoke area.
The wine tasting was all-inclusive, but they served each wine in same glass for all, so didn't get true flavor or bouquet. Should at least provide a water rinse between wines. The person serving was courteous and efficient. Wine was a tad harsh, but the view was absolutely spectacular. We enjoyed a bottle of wine by the outside fireplace. Will certainly go again and take out-of-town guests to see our beautiful valley.
