Very friendly, knowledgeable and help me with my 3 puppies needs. I’ll Highly recommended to my friends.
Gave my dog two medications that caused gastrointestinal bleeding. They care more about money than helping your pet, even in an emergency. Go someplace that knows what they're doing and actually cares.
So I was driving home this evening with Rob when we saw a dog laying in the middle of the road. Someone had just hit her and drove me.
We stopped and blocked traffic from hitting her again. She or he was still alive. We grabbed a garment from our car and covered the dog and her eyes. We drove to nearest emergency Vet we could fiind. We were grateful that they took her, no questions asked, like who is paying for this , or we cannot treat her till financial arrangements can be meet.
They just grabbed the dog and begain treating her. We found out ,it was a he and about a year and half old.
Well taken care of. Just got loose
The person that hit her left her to die. I use to volunteer for animal rescuce organizations and I am still amazed and completely perplexed how someone can hit a animal,,dog ,cat and just leave it.
What kind of human being can do this????
We found out later that the dog was this families artistic child dog.
Last we heard the dog was on life support.
I ask anyone reading this that if you hit a animal or see a animal hit PLEASE pull over aid assistance .
This could be your best friend one day that needs help
I want to thank Valencia Veterinari Center for there compassion and everything they did without questions questions
I will NEVER go to this clinic again! They are unethical, uncaring, unprofessional and borderline inhumane.
Our hamster, Cuddles had a swelling on her face that I expected was an abscess so I took her to Valencia Veterinary Clinic. The "exotics" vet said he would take a look to see if it was an abscess or a tumor. He came back with good news that it was an abscess and that he had "opened it up, cleaned and flushed it and injected her with an antibiotic". He prescribed the same antibiotic for me to give orally to her for 14 days. The bill, $130.
I brought Cuddles home and went to work. When I got home I was shocked to see her face swelled up far worse than it had been before she went to the clinic. There was no sign of an incision but instead just a small scab where a larger bore needle had been used to check for puss. There is no way that it could have been cleaned out and flushed properly as he had stated. There was no way that it could drain as the puncture hole would have sealed over immediately. I noticed it tonight because it had a tiny scab on it and it was streached by the inflamation and infection.
I instantly called the clinic to let them know and asked if anyone could help. I was told "not until Monday". Today is Friday. They told me that the exotics vet was not available and the emergency vet "just does dogs". I asked the receptionist to contact the exotics vet but she said she couldn't. I asked to talk to the "dog vet" but she said he had an emergency. I asked for him to call me after he was done with it. No call came. I called back and the receptionist said the emergency vet said "he will not speak to someone if he didn't treat the animal" I E-mailed photos of Cuddles swollen face to the clinics address and insisted that they be sent to Dr. Slaton who treated her. On my third call the receptionist said she would forward the message. I have not heard from anyone. The receptionist recommended that I take Cuddles to All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Newhall on Lyons as they have "All Creatures" in their name. She told me Valencia Veterinary Clinic is a Dog clinic and only treats exotics on certain days when Dr. Slaton is available. If anything goes wrong with the treatment, there is nobody to help you at any other time, there is no care or commitment to your animals after you leave their facility until that vet returns, and that might be 2 or more days.
This all comes after a previous visit where I was charged over $40 for 1ml of saline to be injected into our hamster as the owners son, Dr. S said she was dehydrated and had wet tail. There was no way she was dehydrated and she did not have wet tail. I was concerned about a problem in her pouches as she stopped filling them as before. He said he wasn't an exotics specialist so he couldnt tell. He prescribed antibiotics just in case. After I confronted him about the diagnosis of wet tail and dehydration he removed the charge for the saline. But insisted she had wet tail because he saw a wet dropping on her rear. I told him of course, they dont come out dried up! The fact that she was making droppings clearly showed she didn't have wet tail ( diarrhea).
I called the clinic I was refered to by Alina, the receptionist and they were amazing. They said they do not charge "emergency rates" and are open 24/7. She recommended a particular vet of theirs and said "just walk in, but it would be nice to know you are coming so please give us a call". They are All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Newhall. I'll be dropping in on them tomorrow. I wish I could post a photo of poor Cuddles because to show the result of the treatment provided by Valencia Veterinary Clinic.
I took my cat in at 6:30 am because he was feeling ill. The place is supposed to be a 24 hour emergency vet. There was no Vet on until 8:30 which caused my cat much more stress waiting than the illness. They took weight and temperature readings and ultimately, blood work. $350 later, perfect blood work. You can find many cheaper options. My review is purely based on outrageous price for services rendered and does not reflect on the professionalism and friendliness of the staff.
I had to bring my best friend in to get looked at. At 14yo she lived a great life and they made the process of easing her pain very comforting. Thank you guys!
This place helped my dog a lot when she was not feeling well. (It turned out she was diabetic and needed insulin.)
Great vet/ hospital if you have a sick pet.
Doctor spent total of 15 min. Was more interested in going back to bed still charged 350.00
HOW IS GOOGLE RATING SO MUCH HIGHER THAN YELP??? Before you take your precious pets here, do yourself a favor---read their YELP reviews!!! You will cringe, as you can almost hear the anguish in people's hearts as they describe countless horrible experiences with this vet. Including MINE. Perhaps businesses can pay Google to modify ratings? It is definitely NOT an option on YELP and if I could give minus 10 stars I would - their negligence is deplorable.
I love Dr. Grewal and his staff. I have 3 Doxies and he take great care of them! My Roxi had back problems last year and thanks to Dr Grewal she's running and playing with her brothers. 😄👍🏼❤️🐶🐶🐶
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ THE YELP REVIEWS ON THIS PLACE! I made the mistake of coming here because of its google reviews.
Worst vet I have ever seen! Avoid at all costs if you love your animal!
My dog got into the trash and became ill.
I took him here because he could not stop vomiting. I was welcomed by unfriendly staff with attitude. It took the vet one hour of me sitting in the exam room before they came in to see my pet. They insisted that my dog stay overnight so they can try to get my dog to pass the trash that he ate naturally. If he couldn't he would need surgery. An overnight stay turned into a 3 night stay (without even telling me). With several vets in charge of my dog and none of them knowing what they were doing. In 3 days NOT ONCE did they call me to tell me how my dog was. On the 2nd day I was notified that my dog INDEFINITELY needed surgery and it would be performed the next morning. I was anxiety stricken and scared for my poor fur baby. The next morning came and of course I received no call, so I called myself for an update on how my dogs condition. The receptionist on the phone told me my dog is eating well and can go home the same day. I was confused and asked if his surgery went well. The receptionist proceeded to put me on hold and then got back on the phone and told me he actually didn't need surgery, he passed the garbage naturally. You would think someone would have told the concerned dog owner at home?!
My dog came home with bruises all over him. I can only imagine how they treated him and the other poor pets there!
I never have witnessed such an unprofessional establishment in my life. I will NEVER return here. Do yourself a favor and don't bring your pet here. I am relieved my dog did not end up needing surgery from these idiotic vets.
I brought my cat in that had been attacked by a coyote. They were quick, expert and courteous in every respect. Ramone healed without any problems. They addressed all of my concerns whenever I raised any and their prices were very reasonable. They are a further drive than the three local vets in my area, but they are worth going the distance.
Beware of Estimate and Surgical Process
On 10/24 I planned a neutering for my 7 month old male Labrador retriever. I have had mostly positive experiences here previously and currently have 2 of my dogs that go to the Valencia Veterinary Center. When I arrived for the procedure, the veterinary tech came to talk to me:
• I asked for a written estimate in advance (it is attached and was provided after my requests for the microchip to be added ($49.50) and anal glands expression ($18.50) –the estimate provided was $ 353.00).
• During the explanation of the consent the form has Yes, No and Doctor’s choice by several items (IV, Anesthesia, pre op lab work, laser wound care)—some things were for more progressive procedures and did not apply. What was explained was that if there was “no IV and your puppy has an anesthesia reaction we would not be able to easily resolve it.” I asked then why don’t you have a DNR –Full Code option? OR, why don’t you just include an IV lock as a precautionary support as a part of the base cost?
• They were explained as if these were additional items for COMPLICATIONS only and the Veterinarian would NOT use them unless absolutely necessary. He assured me that this WILL NOT BE DONE unless absolutely necessary to keep me from having a delay or going back & forth for changes that could occur after the Anesthesia check. With the “Doctor’s choice” they could just proceed but they would of course inform me first I would just NOT HAVE TO RESIGN.
• I asked when the Veterinarian would be going over the INFORMED CONSENT with me—and he said “he’s not in yet but of course they will call you” ---probably before 11:00 (scheduled time of procedure).
• I called twice –they were busy –was placed on hold at least 15 minutes and no one returned to answer the phone. I never was called by the Vet, no informed consent discussing the risks and benefits was ever discussed with me. This was disappointing for a 24 hour service—they should have these basics hard-wired.
• I continued to call and the phone was answered around noon (again being put on hold multiple times). The MD came on the phone –realized that I was calling about Buddy and just clicked off –no “I’m sorry, I ‘ll be back to you) this happened TWICE so now I am scared –“Is my puppy dead or are they just rude?” He went to hang up a THIRD TIME and I said “Do you realize you have left me hanging on the phone TWICE -----is my puppy OK? He said yes –he’s fine and you can pick him up after 4:00, sorry it’s really busy (I guess my dog didn’t matter).
• I went to pick him up and the bill was OVER $600 ----and I asked –what went wrong? As I was told none of the “Doctor options would be used unless there was an emergency risk or problem”----and the manager said NONE. I said that I was not called with any issues –and the Manager said—there were NO complications and if you put “Doctors Choice” they can use it EVEN IF THEY DON’T have an emergency. Then why would you not give this information in advance? WHY doesn’t the estimate say $350-600---so I can ask some more questions as this is CRAZY and I feel LIED TO.
• I was PISSED-----clearly the estimate is NOT THE ESTIMATE –the first estimate is higher than the community as I knew Castaic was about $250 total for lst visit and neutering in a follow up visit. BUT I CHOSE to keep him with the MD’s that knew him. I NEVER THOUGHT ----this would happen……they reduced the price about $30 as you can see ($33 is dog good) so the WRITTEN ESTIMATE was $353 and the final bill was $550.
Learn from my MISTAKE ----the WRITTEN ESTIMATE here is not the TRUE ESTIMATE –and if you leave your pet ----they will NOT provide you the basic overview, they will take your pet to surgery WITHOUT INFORMED CONSENT that every should get prior to any procedure----and you will be grossly overcharged.

We cannot say enough about how happy we are with Valencia Veterinary Center! Our precious 8 lb morkie, Bam Bam ate part of a mushroom which had popped up overnight in our lawn. Not knowing if it was poisonous or not, we brought Bam Bam in, right away, just in case it was.
Immediately, Dr. Liaghat and the techs on staff induced vomiting, administered toxiban, and did blood work. It appeared that all was well. Within 15 minutes of arriving home, Bam Bam began to lose control of his pee and poo, and was stumbling. We rushed him back to the clinic. By the time we arrived, our Bam Bam was in full seizures. They took him in right away, and started treatment. None of us could have known before, what a lethal mushroom this was. No symptoms and no signs in bloodwork at two hours from ingestion, full seizures 1/2 hour later. (Doggie parents, beware the lawn mushroom!)
They stabilized Bam Bam, but he continued to relapse into convulsions periodically. Dr. Liaghat induced a coma to protect him from the harmful seizures. By the time we left him at nearly midnight, Bam Bam had no convulsions for 1 1/2 hours. The following morning, our boy was awake. Clearly still struggling, but alive! We were so happy!
Receiveing fluids to flush the toxins from his little body, he continued to improve until we were able to bring him home less than 48 hours from the time he tasted that toxic fungus. Dr's B. and S. Grewal saw to Bam Bam's care throughout his recovery.
Our most sincere thanks to, Dr. Liaghat, Dr's Grewal, veterinary technicians Melisa, Sam, and James, and all the rest of the caring staff of Valencia Veterinary Center, who saved our Bammers' life, and were so friendly, courteous, and supportive of us as they helped us through such a traumatic time.
Bam Bam is resting comfortably on the couch, cuddling with us today, due to the life saving efforts of these heroes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I have been pleased with with the doctors and staff at this facility. They have been compassionate, caring and thorough with my dogs. I trust them and have had much success at their clinic. They have done everything for my pets from immediate amputation aftercare(dog stayed a couple days there recovering from amputation) to kidney stones to routine check ups and teeth cleaning. If you don't use them as your regular vet because you are too attached to yours then definitely use them as your emergency vet. I have recommended them to many friends and they have all been pleased. The after hours care available can be a blessing when something happens to your precious pet and can't wait until your regular vet open.
