The friendliness of the wonderful people working the stadium was impeccable! The cleanliness was astounding, and the prices were right on for what you would expect.
Unlike my home education there is a great sense of teamwork. You are either with the team or not. The best job you could get here is English as a second language.
Not a terrible experience given what anyone can be sent there for. Very clean and comfortable
Infusions at Whitney Hendrickson involve on-time appointments, with friendly and helpful techs and nurses. I have been there numerous times, and I couldn't ask for better experiences. (I would only suggest that they get a better variety of snacks. Bring your own snacks or lunches if you will be there for a long time.)
Fantastic campus! Good civil engineering department because my major is civil engineering.
I just went to UK'S Press St. garage to get my first parking pass. The building was easy to find - the office was not. I drove past it, & had to call for directions. Even then I had to park in front & scan to figure out where it was. More signage & more prominent signage would be great for all future first timers. But the people working there were great; really friendly
UK has it together! I went to Kroger Field for my vaccine appt. Was exceptionally organized. Only took 20 minutes from parking to back to my car. That includes waiting 15 minutes of wait time post shot.
I was 135 East Maxwell at the lab, and there are three very sweet, friendly and very polite, & respectful ladies to greet you! They are always the same, and when you leave they will tell you have a nice day!Just something uplifting 🎉🙏🏽 Everyone who is a front line employee. I salute you for a job well done. It's hard to have to deal with some of the public. ( Thank You Everyone) Everyone in Dr. Sloan's office are just the same way! I thank God for Dr. Sloan, and all of his staff.God sent me too these people! Caring and Concern!! Thank you again ❤️😊🙏🏽🌹
From registration, to office staff, to nurses and doctors, even the folks in the cafeteria! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and passionate and compassionate! You can tell, everyone has the primary overall goal of making sure you are comfortable and happy, while being healthy! Super treatments Super star staff! So amazing! Will be back (hopefully not too soon tho!)
Okay
Beautiful campus and continuously growing. UK is a community and a place I feel so welcomed and comfortable.
Sorry my past review was for the UK Hospital, not for the UK College. I have updated my rating due and apologies for this error. I also moved my review for the hospital to the correct place.
my sister went here they said to her whats the point you are not smart enough the only thing that will get you in life is that you are pretty enough. So dont go here if you want to be treated with respect but if you want a good school I recommend you to go to East Carolina University or Virginia Tech of if you are high standard go to Stanford Or Yale
The University of Kentucky Prides itself as being a smoking free campus. The truth is all the sidewalks are filled with people smoking and students like myself have to breathe in that smoke every time we pass by. Good thing we have a good cancer research program though!
My daughter Tasha O'Connor is here we have been waiting on a heart transplant and subsided here so far for almost a month it is one of the best places anyone could be everyone here is wonderful and it's a very clean place. I know she is getting the best care she can here. Thank you all for being so great!
Do need seek employment with this institution unless you enjoy the practice sadomasochistism.I was employed by UK Libraries for a agonizing 30 months most recently assigned in the Science & Engineering branch as a Senior Technician. UK Libraries is run as if it was a dysfunctional Nazi Stalag managed by Abbott & Costello. I never worked nor probably will work for such a hostile, discriminating, unprofessional, mismanaged place of work. The operations and conduct of the libraries as well as all the other departments across campus are not overseen by the University. The university has standard polices and practices of it's own;however the university's policies enables it's various departments to form their polices and allow the supervisors to make up "ad hoc" terms & conditions of employment for the individual employee with no oversight whatever nor regard for university policies, state and federal statues. My supervisor would call me unexpectedly or "ambush" me by calling me to a meeting without a agenda;force me to sign a confession or a corrective action document with me prior discussion whatsoever. These accusations against me were always based on convoluted lies, so convoluted that my supervisor and multiple levels of managers would sit in on these meetings to shield my supervisor from her own lies.E.g. I got corrective actions for putting spine labels on books, one time I got a corrective action for saying "anal retentive" in the presence of a co-worker with no prior discussion.I would attend these meetings along with 3-4 other managers besides my boss for the most trivial miniscule matters such as spine labels.(I recorded these meetings) So when your supervisor harasses and bullies you to force to you to comply to their "ad hoc" terms & conditions.I endured a horrendous six month employee improvement plan where I received harsh scrutiny and forced to agree to a venomous plan. I turned to the administrative departments for help such as Employee Relations, Office of Institutional Equity & Employment even the Dean all of them denied accountability and refused to investigate my claim. Employee Relations tells you they do not investigate misconduct. You go to O.I.E.E.; O.I.E.E. will only listen to your "whistle blower" claim. They'll only investigate your claim if it falls under certain criteria. Other than that O.I.E.E. serves the best interest of the university, not the individual employee. There's no union to go to for advocacy. You're on your own. Employee relations will not represent on your behalf either. So then you turn to the library administration, the library administrators plea ignorance in fear of rocking the boat. The library administrators are likely in bed with your supervisor. Expect nothing from the Dean nor Associate Deans. UK Libraries has no leaders or rather leadership whatsoever. So instead I sought help outside of the university by hiring the services of a local labor attorney Edward Dove. Mr. Dove said "UK is a bad, bad employer". Mr. Dove sent a communique to the VP of OIEE.The VP of OIEE simply denied any accountability and oversight. OIEE took no action whatsoever to resolve my hostile situation.Instead OIEE leaked information of my investigation to my supervisor which only intensified the situation.UK has a unusually high turn over rate. However, I sought help too late. I was eventually pressured to resign and ousted out immediately upon submitting my resignation. UK Libraries managed nevertheless by "gangsters.Gangsters who a given immunity due to their faculty status. This is where UK discriminates.Faculty are given immunity from the university's administration. Faculty can treat staff any which way they want with no regard to the law. This is why I refer to the administration as "gangsters". The only possible solution to my hostile situation was to resign. Take my advice. Do not work nor seek studies from these pungent people (UK).These people (UK) will strip you of your self confidence, personality and dignity. They are brutal fascist Nazis who use gestapo like tactics to intimidate you.
i dont know lololololololol snaic 4 life
UK FOOTBALL, ITS TIME TO FIRE ATHLETICS DIRECTOR AND MARK STOOPS. ITS BEEN GOING ON TOO LONG. CHANGE NEEDS TO HAPPEN NOW!!!! FED UP UK FANS
a great well funded school. all of the student have received a really good education.
The school admits more students than they are able to teach. Worthless undergraduate programs, little to no decent counseling. The only thing that anybody seems to care about is the basketball games whether or not they went to college.
In addition to caring for only the top 1% of athletes, the school is elitist when it comes to scholarship also.
If you are looking for prospective college choices, do yourself a favor and learn to speak Australian.
It is a great school they have the best basketball team and have had some of the greatest NBA players like Karl Anthony Towns I'm only 15 but I hope I will be able to go to U.K. I will always be a Wildcat fan go cats.
UKY is a great school if you are looking for digging into science. I spent five years here to complete my PhD study, and have gained the best memory of living in Lexington. Love you, Wildcats!
Fantastic univeristy in a great area. Faculty are friendly, at least I'm the chemical engineering department. The campus staff is friendly and willing to help with any concerns you may have. The campus is gorgeous and very welcoming over all. There is a large Greek precede overall, so if that's your thing it's great. I really can't put into words how much I love this school!
Been an international student here for 5 months. The university is very good. Nowadays it has been under massive renovation and constructions. The buildings are good and cold. Bring some clothes with you. The staff, at least the ones I have contacted were awesome.
Unless you're an athlete, don't expect a top-notch experience at UK.
Pros
-Campus is conveniently located down the road from several attractions, such as Fayette Mall and Cinemark.
-Getting around Lexington from UK is easy once you know the Lextran routes.
-Many study abroad opportunities.
Cons
-Teachers are friendly and willing to help, but nearly impossible to reach outside of class.
-Staff around campus is unhelpful.
-Athletics are prioritised over academics.
-All money goes to athletics and useless building projects.
-Campus is in a rough neighborhood.
-Room and board costs just as much as tuition. UK may seem affordable, but there are many hidden fees and loans to come.
-Not commuter/off-campus friendly. Parking passes are $300, and parking itself is horrible. Parking lots are closed off to students weeks before games.
One of the most affordable out of state college options you may find.it was cheaper for me to go to school at UK out of state (and live in a sorority house) than it was for my brother to go in-state to Pitt. They have some outstanding academic programs, to include nursing, kinesiology, sports management and architecture. My degree from UK has opened a lot of doors for me, and I have fantastic memories and friends to go with it. I loved my time in Lexington, and am proud to say I am a Wildcat for life.
the department of public is providing a very critical fields combination i.e, PhD in biostatistics and Epidemiology which are the back bones in the field of public health which deals on better health of the population or community.
I really like the field!
Graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree. Currently enrolled (due to geographical simplicity) in the Night time Professional MBA program.
Non-Athlete students are second class citizens here. Don't expect for teachers to be concerned with much more than their research. Your tuition goes to sports, not improved life for most students. Greek life is elitist and ugly. Personally would never recommend going here unless you received a great scholarship. Grad school programs don't provide much in the way of financial aid either.
Yeah I moved here as a Transfer from out of state in Fall and overall the campus is nice (aesthetically) and the classes aren't too bad. Professors are really good and informative and are adept in everything they teach. As for student services and on campus resources, THIS IS THE WORST COLLEGE! Do not expect the student services or ANYONE to be helpful on campus. I have made MULTIPLE attempts at asking around in all of the different "official" office buildings:
-Where/How do I use the on campus printers?
-I live off campus and am trying to find _____ and have been looking all over for it. Could you help me?
-Do you know who I could talk to about financial or other assistance for first-generation college students?
-I am having issues with _____ could you or do you know someone who could help me with this?
Following asking any of these questions I have been directed ALL OVER campus looking for the right answer or person who knows the right answer and more (many more) times than not, have I walked away with issues unresolved. The staff that deals with students directly is incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful
Be ready if you plan to attend here to purchase your own printer and computer of some sort. Because all offered printing on campus is either ridiculously expensive or it's only available for a "certain specified group of people." (Ex: ___ Major Computer Lab) This college is terribly unhelpful and I am beginning to regret my decision to move.
