Great school in such a beautiful place. It used to be really hard to get in this school (not sure about now). All my friends who graduated this school are now doing great job.
The Graduate admission committee at UC San Diego is really awesome!
My institute in India (VIT, Pune), hasn’t been responsive at all. I wanted to get a ‘Provisional Degree Certificate’ or at least an email saying that the ‘Passing Certificate’ is an equivalent of the provisional degree certificate. I haven’t received any reply from the registrar of VIT. It’s been over a month.
Whereas, the admission committee at UC San Diego has helped me a lot. They lifted the hold on my registration for the 2017-18 year. They have covered up for the mess Savitribai Phule Pune University and VIT, Pune has made.
Big thanks to Dana Jimenez and Erin Calhoun. You guys are saviors :)
I found this realy appealing it clarify me every thing regarding every opportunity to study abroad as i am just a certificate students so with this my vision is realy increased and i want to continue viewing this page so i will find my programme of own choice
Obviamente an excellent university. Beautiful location in the wealthy La Jolla, California.🌞Some of the areas of the school are unkempt, hilariously, ironically but, then my poor old, bankrupt California is, after all, a desert.
Son is going there til he moves out to Wilmington North Carolina with us next year. Then he will attend UNC Wilmington - another excellent school also on the coast, the warm coast!🌊
The UC system is a racist organization that punishes Asian students and demands a higher level of performance for acceptance based strictly on their nationality. This type of racism(the kind where you make judgements of what privileges people should have based on race) creates divides within the learning environment and has a systemic effect where not only does racial resentment flourish, but it's not uncommon for people to create more racial biasis and assume, often incorrectly, that certain races within the campus are stupider. Not only does this punish people for things outside of their control, and makes unfair demands on the Asian community. It also leads to racism toward the very groups they are trying to help.
The school was good. I liked their huge library and their creative statues, but the school seemed to big for me and easy to get lost in for freshman. The tour we had was pretty fast and tiring. What also bummed me out was that the Book store closed pretty early and I didn't get to buy anything :(
Hello everyone,
I have to say UCSD is a nice campus and the students are great. However, if your ever looking for a job there at least with facilities management "DONT DO IT", I used to work there and the management there are a bunch of clowns I got along with most of the people there but there are a lot of trouble makers there always ready to try and get you into trouble even if your doing nothing wrong so they can try to manipulate the leads or supervisor for there own gain. The supervisors there are ok but like the general workers you have a lot of smile in your face and stab you in the back type of supervisors there so just be very careful if you do decide to work there, or be really good at kissing butt to get ahead. Good luck..!

One word: awesome!
Great campus, great professors!
Had a good time there as an exchange student.
Excellent Campus. Beautiful library and people are extremely friendly. Large variety of options to eat . Best pick would be the farmers market though. Delicious options on Farmers Day
I went on a field trip there for my AVID program, and my 6th grade AVID teacher went there as well. It honestly is an amazing school. The trees, everything. And the Gazelle library is amazing! I plan on going there when I'm heading to college.
The academics are world class. The students are smart, competitive, and yet usually pretty nice. The campus is huge so there is always a new place to find or people to meet. Professors are also great to be honest. The food is mediocre at best.
Problem is that its UC Socially dead and the administration lies about everything. A lot of my GE classes were also completely useless. Parking is also horrendous.
