I love taking my dog to this park. It is very peaceful on the trails with squirrels scampering about and birds chirping in the trees. It is handicap accessible and very clean. A brisk walk with a dog who lokes to sniff around alot takes about 35-45 minutes. There are also benches scattered along the asphalt path. Adjacent is a very nice playground complete with restrooms and a shelterhouse.
In the morning, much better experience, better owners and dogs.
Just heads up for new dogs and especially new people.
In the evening, the other owners with huge dogs, not so friendly, the owners that is. And they're exactly like a human pack of dogs. Well, the same as you folks I can be friendly or I can beless than friendly.
Yes, I yelled at your dogs repeatedly for running my puppy to the ground. It is my first day with you.people. You didn't like me yelling at your dogs piling on top of mine, did you? Like I didn't like your dog putting her head it its mouth over and over.
However, and this is the important part so pay attention, when my pitty mix puppy was back with her tail up and playing back, within 5 MINUTES, I backed off. I said It's fine. 5 times. It's fine. It's fine. Say it with me, It is fine.
Jesus, you whiny man-baby. IT. IS. FINE.
Oh, but the middle aged couple (see above for more on this fun pack) with the baby Dane, cute dog, not smart, but cute. These 2 just would not shut up AFTER it was over. I just said I am not going to listen to you complain about the same thing 10 times, after the fact. I let it go. You, too, can let it go. I let it go after 5 mins.
The older woman with him when I waved their dogs away from mine initally, LMAO, I swear she said "You should just stand in the corner then." MmmNah, I think I'll stand right here and watch my dog. But she was super funny. Barking orders. At me.
I'm not sure who these people think they are, but I'll be back in the evenings. So you can leave like you did today, en masse. Or you can deal, like I had to deal. I'll see you all again next week. And many days after.
****Our dogs will get along just fine in the coming days, but I don't tolerate bullies or groups of bullies, human or animal. You're at minimum 3.5 decades too old for that cliquey behavior. I have video and added pics of later visitors that were pleasant, considerate. As a result the much bigger, black shepherd puppy played just fine with mine without all that "that's just how dogs play" and "drawing blood is fine" behavior of which you speak.****
Additionally, thanks to the Manager at the Park for addressing a problem I experienced within hours of paying for and receiving my dog's tag and the park scan card.
The manager's handling of the 8am situation is why my day 1 review is FOUR stars instead of ONE."

Nice wooded trails
A good playground for our grandkids here.
Toilet did not flush and someone had messed in it and bathrooms full of bugs and spiders ( not an inviting place to use restroom). The mulch in play area was scarce and there was mud where swings were and where Merry Go Round was. Would be nice if it was maintained better.
Location
Great place to live
Beautiful Park that is secluded from the traffic near the interstate. This park has some walking trails with picturesque views of the forest, and a pleasant hut great for parties.
Its a pretty place. Love to hang there w my Brown Dog.
