Dr. Tosh Atkins is by far the Best Ortho DoctorHe knows his stuff. He performed knee and shoulder surgery as of today I feel 120% betterIf Dr. Atkins was near me right nowI'd give him a great big kiss."Thank You and Kudos to a Job Well Done Dr Atkins"

Excellent all the way around. Dr Thompson has operated on me 4 times. Each time my problem was corrected. Follow up visits were great. Very caring and helpful staff. I highly recommend University orthopedic clinic.

Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses, to the doctors are friendly knowledgeable and very professional. For joint pain and issues I would not go anywhere but to Dr. Atkins. I had a total knee replacement in my right knee over 20 years ago, and have not had one minute’s trouble. Truly appreciate

My Dr. was great; his staff not so much. They were not very friendly, could be condescending, but when you get through the surgery and first few office visits - I highly recommend UOC PT! This is why I rate 5 stars..The staff is exceptional and very friendly. I never once dreaded going to PT. I had rotator cuff surgery and during my therapy sessions Will and/or Stephen would tell me exactly what they were doing and why they were doing it. They were supportive and encouraging. I felt like a part of the UOC PT family on my first visit.

Its comforting to find medical services that match or exceed one's former services when one has moved to another state. I found the services at UOC in Tuscaloosa , to be wonderful. They are kind and patient. The staff and my new doctor have inspired my trust and given me confidence to go forward with the prescribed treatment my knees need. Thank you !

I was extremely pleased with my visit with Dr. Atkins who is a very professional and friendly physician. He spent a very adequate amount of time with me and answered all of my questions expertly and with clarity. I would indeed recommend him to all of my family and friends.

University Orthopaedic has been great to meet the needs of my husband and me this year. We have used the physicians offices, MRI, and the therapy staff and facilities. We highly recommend them to anyone needing Orthopaedic services.

Dr. Standeffer does a great job explaining situations and concerns. He is kind with helpful advice, especially regarding my health as an older patient and medicines. My shoulder surgery went very well. His encouraging personality helps me to try harder. When you are in pain that can be tough. Excellent doctor and staff.

Dr Clayter , is a wonderful Dr, best Pearson I have seen and the does great work , and the OUC physical therapy, group is wonderful also , John is great and the staff is very curtiuse , thanks Ouc Doctors and Physical Therpy

Was disappointed with the waiting situation. I was there with my brother at the Northport location. The waiting room was so full my brother, who was on crutches from surgery and had a blood clot, had to stand in the hallway and wait for a place to sit causing horrible swelling. Unacceptable.

The lady who conducted the x-ray study was so kind, gentle, and caring. Dr. Buckley is truly a God send. I was majorly impressed with his wealth of knowledge and his ability to articulate so plainly what was going on with my shoulder. I left the clinic feeling like a million dollars and I have not had any left shoulder pain since treatment at the clinic. Thank you so much ‼️😀

I had my knee surgery here several years ago and was very pleased. My ENTIRE family uses UOC when we need an orthopedic specialist. One family member in particular uses them for cortisone injections every few months. The same family member had an accident over the Christmas holiday and needed to be seen after being seen in the E.R. She called to schedule an appointment and was told that it will be Monday Jan. 4TH before they can get her in unless there is a break or fracture. So she had to go to her primary doctor after the E.R.(pay another 35.00 copay after the 150.00 E.R. copay) to have him order more x-rays. I called to see if there was any way to get her in trying to explain the situation that she couldn't wait another 6 days even if it wasn't broke or fractured (she can't put any weight on it and its about the size of a softball) when she originally injured her foot on Dec. 23rd and the receptionist said there was nothing she could do so I ask to speak to the office manager. I was transferred to Jennifer Germain. I have never in my life had someone yell at me like she did. I was a firm believer in UOC until now. I bet if the physicians knew this is how their practice was being ran they would probably make several staff changes starting with Ms. Germain. I know that every place of business has rules and I have worked with the public for several years, so I truly get it. But to yell at someone.. WOW! I don't care if I broke every bone in my body. I'll never be back.( if it was around a holiday it wouldn't matter they wouldn't be able to fit me in anyways!)

Dr. Standefer is a wonderful doctor and has done an outstanding job on multiple injuries I acquired in a car accident. I would highly recommend him or any of his assistants to anyone with any bone or joint injuries. Thank you again Doctor for your superior work and wonderful attitude as well.
