Attention CDL Truckers: As I'm sure you know by now Jersey traffic is no joke and this applies when arriving at this place. Expect heavy traffic with people cutting you off and crosswalk personnel stopping traffic at any intersection to let school children and pedestrians pass.
If driving on Hwy 22 eastbound make a right onto Fadem Rd. You'll eventually see the facility on your right. If delivering you can try to turn into the receiving section if you'd like but I recommend you continue past the facility which will eventually circle around onto Diamond Rd. Before you get to the intersection stop and park your truck on the shoulder and walk to receiving to check in. I recommend this for 2 reasons, 1st the receiving area is small and there's a possibility of other trucks in the lot ahead of you. 2nd (my experience) they might have you dock on the shipping side and they will unload you there, but this will depend on what type of product is on your trailer and what the receiver wants to do. Again these are just recommendations, trip plan and decide on what you want to do.
If you have to dock on the shipping side like I did, the docks are inside which will make backing a challenge considering you have to back from the street. You'll find the shipping doors off of Diamond St after crossing the intersection, check overhead view on google maps. Take your time, check the surrounding area for objects that could get in your way, and use GOAL.
Once docked give the receiver your BOL's. when they're done unloading they will have signed BOL's to give to you. From there you should be free to go. Despite the challenges I found the experience here wasn't too bad overall. The staff was respectful and in the early morning hours there wasn't too much traffic when docking my trailer.
Worst company ever! Our windows aren’t even 5 years old! We have 5 starting to leak the argon gas. They aren’t honoring their warranty. Giving the builder the run around. Go somewhere else to get your windows.
I am very impressed with the prompt service and the dedication to customer satisfaction we received. Less than a week from my call to United Windows, a representative was sent to repair my sliding glass door.
Rob was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable about the product issue. He had it fixed it a matter of no time. After all the issues I had with my window manufacture, I wish I would have purchased all my windows from United!
Also, I appreciate him taking the time to ensure my house did not get damaged. He wore boot covers and used protective means to protect my newly constructed house.
Rob was, also, very understanding and polite to my two rambunctious children. He reminded me of what customer service used to be and still should be. Great job, Rob! Keep up the great work!
Not sure who the driver is but as a fellow truck driver he’s definitely not a professional. As he’s a accident waiting to happen he continually tailgated me on 81 south at times so close I could tell the color shirt he had on. I will definitely save the video just for future reference as if anything comes of this like a accident I will submit to the local news and the state’s attorney to prove how wreckless your drivers are also the date of this post is the actual date of the incident. Fyi if he would have hit me I definitely would have the proper pictures and recording to back my legal case ..
We bought a house in June and upon inspection, there are 5 windows needing replacement. They are under warranty. The windows were ordered. They finally came in, in August. My first date given for installation was a month out for September 16! Then it got canceled with no reason and pushed to September 22. Then that got canceled because their one and only technician who serves NC (unbelievable!) got hurt. No call back for a week and a half. They then tell me November 10. Every time I have told them if this was a job where they were making money, they’d have been installed now, but they don’t care and keep pushing us out since it’s covered under warranty. They had the audacity to say they’d ship to a dealer so we can have them installed ourselves. No. Just no. These are your faulty windows. On my last conversation I said I’m sorry that I gave the number to my husband and now they can deal with him; I’m nicer. I can’t keep going in circles and going nowhere. I was told they weren’t going to listen to my “threats” and was hung up on. Worst customer service. Worst experience ever. Worst windows. I’ve included just one pic of the 5. I pray none of the others do this so I never have to deal with these rude, incompetent people again. America. Where no one wants to help and everyone is offended.
