  It was a waste of my money and my time I was unable to find out one tax return with this software and they did not care. There was no lots of other help. They lied and said it was interview base available as well, it was not. Demo did not reflect what was actually being offered after you pay them your money. I've been doing taxes for over 20 years this is the worst software ever.

  UT has been a great for many years, really nice people, and good support staff. Over the last two years they have failed horribly at keeping up with new state level forms, many new forms not being supported or even available in the software. Our office has also had a lot of issues with various credit calculations not being correctly calculated based on the input data the software is requesting. We have had a significant amount of letters from IRS to clients adjusting credits based on the software calculations. I have brought these issues to their support team and no one has answers. When I called to speak to someone about not renewing and the reasons why, the person told me they were only in accounting and did not have any answers. No one really seemed interested in getting answersI guess someone will just take my place when I do not renew. It is sad because they have the makings of being a really great software but seems like they are backsliding a lot and their singular competitive advantage is price and not much more. I am finding that you pay for what you get. The software is inexpensive but if you spend a lot of time dealing with issues and having to paper file a numbers of returns because the software does not support various forms then it actually costs you more in the end. I am was hoping UT would provide answers and solutions to the issues my firm has been experience but crickets, so I signed on with a new software provided. Sad but maybe we just outgrew UT, without answers, it is hard to say what has actually happened.

  Love the customer service and prompt resolution of software issues. My only complaint is that the software won't e-file CA 568 or CA 541. Both of these forms are normal to be able to e-file. Maybe they can get that fixed before next year! Other than that, this company is responsive.

  They are by far the best tax prep software I have used. It is easy fast, very comprehensive and not a dumb layout. Customer service is excellent and they care, they don't brush you off. I would use nothing else.

  I have used the program software for the past 4 years, and it’s been working very well. Mainly I enjoy year round live tech. support. These guys always ready to help with any issues that can come up during the season and beyond. However, there are things that can be improved. Like, the program itself could be a little more intuitive when it comes to carrying forward previous year’s information. There are certain numbers & forms that can already exist from last year to next, without having to enter them again.
  Overall, it’s a very good program.
