The nurse and the doctor were great. They were helpful and professional and caring.
The desk person in the emergency room was horrible. I came in, stated that my daughter was a heart patient presenting symptoms, and she started asking for registration information instead of getting a nurse to start triage for my heart patient. I had to sternly as her why she was asking me questions instead of getting the nurse before she got out of her chair. I have no problem answering questions or providing information AFTER my heart patient is being looked after.
Next, they don't seem to be able to record or provide my insurance information to their departments and staff or bill my insurance even though it was provided. They need some serious training and competence in their records and billing departments. Every bill that I have recieved has not had the insurance billed.
Be VERY careful with the desk staff and the registration people at this facility.
The hospital is average, I went to the emergency room regarding possibly appendix or gallbladder issues, luckily I tested fine but when I walked out of the er with my results summary they never went over with me about my reproductive system from my CT scan, it said I had a fluid cyst on my right ovary which hences why I went to the ER because I was having symptoms that progressively got worse. Wait time is ridiculous and they don't always go over everything that you need to know.
Brought my wife to the ER because of an allergic reaction. The room we were in was FILTHY. There was blood and trash all over the floor, the trash can was full and we waited for almost 45 minutes just to for the doctor to even pop her head in and tell us she’d be right back. She did not come back for another almost 30 minutes.
I am very disappointed with the care that my loved one received here, while in the E.R. Sophia K. in the E.R. needs to keep her unprofessional comments to herself. She sits at the main desk and talks about patients and family members. We can hear you, Sophia. You need some AIDET skills and empathy training. NO, I wasn't "barking" orders as you stated, thinking I couldn't hear you. I was ADVOCATING for my loved one who was being ignored and untreated. We waited 4 hours to get saline. Why? I asked to speak to the nurse supervisor, and that was a joke. He never introduced himself or addressed my concerns. The physician was the only level-headed professional to address my concerns after I asked to speak to him 3 times before shift change. Get it together, Geneva. Train your employees or fire the ones who are losing you business.
I went to the ER with chest pains. After I was released (medication problem) Alteon Health sent a separate bill. I have blue cross insurance plus the best supplemental plan there is. This $1467.00 bill is out of network in Coral Springs Florida. What is going on?
