First time there for Pfizer's covid vaccine shot.

Well maintained and cleanconsidering the crowdsworkers, students and patients.

There was an abundance of cleaners everywherea great thing during this pandemic.

All of the staff cheery and helpful. They seemed truly happy to be there helping us.

The few who were not prepared with their paperwork, were taken aside and helped by staff who had mobile computers on a rolling stand.

Heard them walk the patient through their data & confirmed. Then plugged back into their place in line, and if we move too far ahead, they were plugged back in line where they were standing.

A very pleasant experiencemore so compared to friends description of theirs at other facilities.

There was one female complaining of the long line (it was long, but was slowly moving).

A staffer talked to her in a calm voice, even though that gal was yelling.

Staff: "there are several rooms up there, so as to limit the number of patients in an enclosed room for your safetythen we have each patient sit in there for 15 minutes after their shot, in order to monitor for possible allergic reactions"

THAT helped all of usexcept that B, and several of us told her to shut upthat felt soooooo good

When you walk to the dental surgery lobby and your the only person in the room and no one greets you, dr.’s are fantastic. They’re office staff 2/10 not friendly, and was very rude when opposing opinions arose.

UCSF is the Premier Hospital on the west coast. Every department that I have had dealings with have been amazing. The people genuinely make each patient feel comfortable .

I had both my hips replaced at age 29 and 30. I could not have asked for a better surgeon and staff. I recommend everyone to ucsf.

Such a poor response. I have been waiting for Rheumatologist appointment and its been ages they get me one. I haven't seen such unprofessional hospital in my life. Are thy going to get me an appointment after I die. How atrocious behavior of this Rheumatology department. I do not recommend any one to this hospital

I've been to hospitals around the country, this is by far the worst hospital I've been unfortunate enough to stay at. The nurses and security guards were hostile, violent and encouraged patients to injure themselves. I experienced several horrible seizures after which while laying on the ground of the emergency department floor I heard the night nurse laughing saying "hahahah she's having another seizure". No hospital personal checked on my vitals or condition after 3 consecutive seizures. This hospital deserves a 0 out of 5 stars for providing everything in direct contrast to medical assistance.

Research hospital. No wonder they can't get well me. I have surgical gloves left in me from a previous surgery and they cancel my appt without telling me and cant heal me. I had to leave to go get well. I do not recommend UCSF to anyone for healing purposesbig DIFFERENCE from Research to healing

I am diagnosed with bladder cancer & have had 2 surgeries done at UCSF. I cannot thank my Doctor & the medical staff there for the quality & professional care I received. I am a picky person & there is nothing I can complain about. My physician is Dr. Kristen Greene & she is very knowledgeable & she cares.
The hospital itself was built to help the patients healing process. UCSF is my 5 star choice.
Even the food is good!

Terribly mistreated my wife during post surgery recovery. The 8th floor icu medical staff were the worst, truly some uncaring and miserable people employed here. The extra star is for the diamonds in the dirt, that tried their best to help.

My dad had a stroke while at the grocery store about 80 miles away and was airlifted to UCSF because this was the closest place that was able to do a procedure to pull a blood clot out of his brain. Had it not been for UCSF and modern technology, my dad would not be with us today. I thank the top notch staff for saving my dad's life! He is recovering but they truly did their best and I can honestly say there's no where else I would have wanted him to be through this experience.

Only con was the parking. It's unbelievably wrong to charge loved ones $30 a day to park. People are already going through enough & to charge that much to park is insensitive. I was driving back and forth from Modesto for almost 2 weeks, which was a financial burden already. There is no free parking around either. Unless it's Sunday - use the meters. They are free.

what is going on here by now 2016? the place is behind the times. the research seems at a junction. more fancy construction of edifices to make us believe this place is all that the reputation is supposed to be. i have questions about the research. also the campus here is so serious. i do not even see anyone reading the materials that the biomedical library keeps on the shelves. i was going regularly since i was 17. it was within walking distance to my house. i was not ever invited to a high school party and did not notice. but i was not considered smart or much of anything. i am a homeless woman who likes to learn at libraries and i can't stay at jobs too long because i am shafted into entry level jobs constantly. i guess i never developed that phony confidence it might take to be a physician. i wanted to be on the medical researcher track since 7th grade. i would rather be influencing millions upon millions than only those within my own practice. i have to go to my dentist office like a complete failure in my adult life, only to have the teeth scraper trying to encourage me into going to UCSF's teeth scraping program. soon the jobs of physicians are largely going to obsolete. i take solace in that they would no longer be able to do no harm. if only i or someone else intervened sooner. this school is a sham

to Jamie L, I wish i could have invited you to recouperate over at my house over the hill from ucsf. or warned you and my other friends not to go here. i think they experiment on people here. stay away

I was a neuro pt. and on 8 Long for about a week. The whole staff was awesome. They took awesome care of me and if I needed an advocate the did not have a problem with being one for me.

Had a female surgery booked in March and when I arrived as Disabled Iraq and Afghanistan female Veteran with a Service DOG to Presurgical which is not a sterile area. Nursing and the Charge nurse were confronting weather they could allow my Service Dog with me . He was a Medical necessity. It was a mess and up setting. And then they start causing problems when I came out of surgery and was Post-op in the patient area and I could hear my carer trying to get my Service Dog to me and the argument that was happening that I had to now get involved. The nursing staff do not understand the rights of the disabled under ADA especially in hospital.
