I had developed mersa in my left foot and they fired me due to such injury but I still think it's an awesome company to work for and I would like to work there again. There staff to me had always asked if I was doing okay so they do follow the we care attitude.

They need to get these hogs off the trailer as soon as possible. I get here and back into the shoot just to wait an hour for their break. It is very hot outside and humid. Why can't they have alternate breaks,instead of dead pigs

If you are thinking about possible employment here, I STRONGLY suggest that you reconsider. They say that they have a "we care culture" and want employees to report any type of pain so they can "help". Yet, as soon as you do, they become very rude towards you. I was an employee of this plant and this is how they treated me. I developed carpal tunnel syndrome. I reported it like they wanted me to. I was sent to their nurse and placed on light duty. My General Manager Ornilea called me into the office and read me the riot act about how now she has a "recordable injury" and how it makes her look bad. The very next day I was brought into the Superintendent's office Sam Shank and basically told between the lines that they didn't want to hear one more peep out of me. That Saturday about an hour and a half before the end of shift my floor supervisor and another supervisor moved me from my light duty area over to a job that actually requires two people. Even though the nurse made it perfectly clear to my General Manager that I was to do no cutting, gripping, or grabbing with my right hand until I returned to the nurse on that Wednesday. They blatantly disregarded this causing more pain.
I am seriously thinking about seeking legal action against them.response / report this review -

Yes it smells bad but thats what you get for working in a slaughter house but the pays good the hours is good I love my job
