I just started as a tutor for Tutoring Chicago this year. I have loved it! The program has shown impressive results over the years in helping kids to improve their reading and math abilities. It is very organized and offers solid training/support to tutors. And it's really fun to build a relationship with the child that is assigned to you -- to watch him/her grow in ability and confidence throughout the year. And fun to get to know the other volunteers.

I have been a tutor for 4 years now at the Lincoln Park location. The organization is well organized and efficient. From the application & pairing process, to training new tutors, to ongoing support, it is a well oiled machine. As a new tutor I didn't know what I was getting myself into but TC staff made it so easy to succeed. There was curriculum, and resources available to teach the kids and I always feel that I have a support system from the site manager so I never have to guess on how to deal with a situation. I would recommend this organization to anyone!
