Friendly staff. Very helpful. Quick service
I am so thankful to have found Turkey Creek Animal Hospital! Over the summer, I found out that my dog had a tumor on his spleen. When I came in to Turkey Creek to get their opinion, Dr. DeHaven made my dog and I feel so welcome and so comfortable. Dr. DeHaven sat right down on the floor in the exam room and was so happy to just let my dog give her kisses. She is so genuine, kind, and smart! I came in with a long list of questions and she spent 2 hours answering all of them. My dog had surgery to remove his spleen the next day. After the surgery, Dr. DeHaven even called to let me know everything went well! My dog got the best care from Dr. Artman, as well! Dr. Artman was so calm, down to earth, and patient to answer all of my questions and to call and check on my baby, for several days. I truly felt like the doctors and vet techs really care about my baby boy, Brock. I also am thankful for Michelle - she talked with me about how to take care of Brock at home, and she put me at ease with her knowledge and also talked to me like a friend would.
When you're at Turkey Creek, it is clear that the staff genuinely love animals and so do all the other customers coming in and that is so refreshing! :)
I am happy to report that my dog, Brock, is doing wonderfully now! He's like a puppy again!
Both of my dogs love going to Turkey Creek to see Dr. Artman and Dr. DeHaven and all of our other new friends. I will always feel like they all saved my baby boy. We are so happy that we have found our fur-ever veterinary home!!!! :)
I have used other veterinarians and the Humane Society before but have never received the kind of care and attention that I do with Turkey Creek. They treat my furbabies like people and always follow up to see how things are going afterwards.
They do a great job and love our animals
The techs and vets are always so helpful! The facility is clean and the wait isn't ever too long.
Great service at a fair price.
Pet Owners Be Warned!!
This place is strictly a business! Because for a "hospital" they do NOT behave like one. We found a bull terrier mix wandering on McIntosh Road. The cars on this road drive very fast & we were concerned that the dog might get run over if it had not already been hit. It was limping on one of it's front paws. It had a tag and was clearly cared for & had a sweet and loving disposition. So we loaded him into our car and took him to the closest vet, Turkey Creek Animal Hospital. My husband explained the situation to the vet techs and to our disgust and dismay they refused to take care of the dog unless we were willing to assume the costs of any care. They wouldn't even look at the dog! After explaining the dog had tags and we just needed help finding the owner they still seemed unwilling to take the dog and said they might not have a kennel and they would need to call animal control (and FL euthanizes unclaimed strays) Seriously!?!! You can drop a baby off at a hospital or fire station with less hassle than these people gave us!! (Not that I've ever done that) They say they're an "animal hospital" but they only seem to care about who pays the bills! Eventually a vet tech came out with a chip reader but it couldn't read the chip. My husband gave them the location where we found the dog and eventually it was determined that the dog was previously seen by the vet and then -- and only then would they accept custody of the sweet dog. They didn't even look at him or check him for injuries while we were there. All they cared about was who would take care of the bills. They were perfectly happy to threaten us and the dogs life with calling animal control. I am absolutely disgusted by their attitude and behavior. The only thing that changed their tune was the potential for money! We gave the vet our contact information and turned the dog, Junior, over to the vet. We called back later to make sure the dog was reunited with it's owner & it was but the whole experience left a terrible impression of Turkey Creek Animal Hospital. As a pet owner I am appalled at their lack of concern for the animals we love. They only act like they care about pets but they only want your money! They did not even recognize one of their own patients, Junior, and would have sent him to the pound!
Great friendly service. Always take great care of our dogs
Awesome my dog AC Tucker gets so excited when he gets to go!!!!
I have been bringing my dog, Sadie, to Turkey Creek for about 3 1/2 years, and the entire staff has been amazing. Dr. DeHaven and Dr. Marks have helped us work with a case of very itchy skin caused by allergies, trying different approaches until we found the long-term solution that worked. We recently adopted another rescue dog, Ruffles, and Dr. Marks was extremely helpful in getting him checked out and determining a course of action to get him strong and healthy. The entire team is very friendly and accommodating, and I won't take either of my dogs anywhere else for care.
I would NOT recommended this place to anyone if this was the last place to go. If I could I would only rate them with a half star. Went in for an emergency which I had an appointment for and was loaded into a dirty room. Sat there for about an hour and then heard the staff talk about the personal lives. This place is very unprofessional I finally got up and left. What really upset me is that when I got home my 6 year old asked me what the staffs conversation was about. This place is a joke went to another veterinarian clinic down the road which I was very impressed with. They might have been a little more in price but they got me right in as a walk-in and were very professional and kind to my daughter, our pet and me. I would recommended Walden Lake Animal Clinic to ALL. I don't know how Turkey Creek stays open.
