This is my absolute favorite hair salon, not just in Iowa but in all the states I've lived. The women who work here are incredibly skilled and kind and the salon itself is relaxing (doesn't smell strongly of hair chemicals). I always look forward to my appointments here and I highly recommend it!

I am so glad I came across Tru during my search for a new hair salon. I have not had a single negative experience there during my two years. Megan is who I have seen from the start and she does phenomenal work and is an amazing person. She takes the time to teach me about my hair and different styling techniques to make me happier with my hair every day, not just when I come from the salon. She even came into the salon early just to style my hair for graduation. I will continue to make the trip to Tru for my hair even though I am moving to Minnesota, because their service is top-notch and I have never been happier with my hair!

I have been going to Tru Salon for just 2.5 years now. The staff is always on point, beyond friendly, and want to make sure you have a great experience. Alex is my stylist and I cannot say enough positive things about her. My hair is always beautiful and she always make sure I leave loving my hair.

I buy 99.9% of my hair products from here as well, they are totally worth it. I can never get my hair to look as great as when Alex does it, but I can get pretty dang close because the products are flipping fantastic.

They deserve more than 5 stars, they really do.

I've never had my hair done here before, but I've photographed here for a wedding and I must say that the staff is wonderful. They really care about their clients and want to do the best job. They work quickly and happily and the finished work is stunning. The music is top notch too!

Absolutely loved my haircut by Megan!! She was so knowledgeable about what I wanted and her technique is on point! Went in for a brand new look, and she
delivered above and beyond. The staff really takes the time to show you great tips and tricks on your personal hair style. Can't wait to go back and hope they bring hair extensions to the salon!!! 💚

Tru Salon is absolutely wonderful! Everyone who works there is so kind, helpful, and talented. I always feel like my expectations are listened to and met, which is very impressive considering how curly my hair is. My haircuts, color, and styles always look fantastic and I feel so good about my hair when I walk out the door. They eyelash extension service here is also great! They last and keep for a good amount of time, and they are very soft and natural looking. I am so thankful that I found this salon and couldn’t be happier with their services and friendly people who work there.

I initially chose Tru Salon for hair/makeup for myself and my wedding party because when I called and said that we needed to start at 7am, they didn't immediately tell me that no salon would start that early and good luck with my search. I was so fortunate that they were so friendly and helpful from the beginning AND did such high-quality work!

I am so happy with how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding! The staff was so nice and the breakfast they provided was awesome. I hadn't slept more than 3 hours the night before and one girl went to the coffee shop next door to get me a latte while I got my makeup done. It was JUST what I needed. We were on a tight timeline and they did everything they could to accommodate.

I would highly recommend Tru Salon for wedding parties!
