This is a small local airport of Northeast Tennessee, but its quality is comparable to biggest airports! If you fly at Tri Cities frequent enough, the employees will remember your name.
TSA was absolutely horrible and very rude.
The customer service professionals were courteous and helpful. Although it's small and a bit dated, the facility is attractive and clean.
In my experience, it never seems to be overly crowded.
Flights to and from Charlotte, however, seem to be unpredictable. Delay, delay, delay - circumstances beyond everyone's control on the local level.
Hopefully, a solution is in the near future as this service is vital to our region.
In the meantime, happy travels!
Great friendly service both TSA and all other employees and they are always helpful and easy to park and no wait in security line. Everyone should try it.
Bar is really bad. Ordered a Jack & Coke single short. Knew I was in trouble when the sloppy bartender pulled out a 1/2 empty 2-liter of Coke. $16.75. Not kidding. First drink I've ever refused to pay for. Sad.
SUPER small airport. However, everyone from the TSA to the bartenders, to the ticketing counter to the car rental desk were extremely nice a friendly. Flying in here seems to only be prop planes, but it'll save you a drive if you need to get to Johnson City quickly.
MY PLANE CRASHED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN SO I HAD TO BE TOM HANKS FROM "CAST AWAY" AND SPEND 5 YEARS IN AN ISLAND. J.K. I LOVR YOUR ARIPOT BECAUSE I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE BUT MY MOM HAS!!😆😆😆
Nice clean airport. Good service, friendly staff. Because it is smaller, there are hardly ever any lines at security or at the counters. Parking is a little expensive, but no more so than any other airport.
I went to Tennessee for Destination Imagination Global Finals and we had to fly to this airport and security and everyone their were so nice.
