It was awesome. So educational as well. Beautiful scenic views. Sure wish I would have brought my family here years ago. It was right under my nose all these years. Food, fun, it has it all. And the views, you just can not beat them. You will not be disappointed!!

This was out first place to stop and see when we got to San Antonio. It is an awesome experience however the don't have amenities on top of the tower. They only have a small concession that sells limited beverages and snacks. No food are sold on the top of the tower but you can either go to the fancy $$$ restaurant if you can afford it or to the cafe outside the tower in front of the fountains and waterfalls.

We went to the bar on a Saturday night as our first visit. For being a big attraction in the city, their wine list was lacking with only a few selections of wines in each type. The waitress didn’t know about the drink characters.
Not too impressed. The best part is the 1000 foot view of the city.response / report this review -

View is so so, nothing really interesting. Overall it doesn’t worth to pay $8 for parking and then $12 per adult ticket to go up. Observation tower in Dallas is much more interesting. 2 stars go to 4D movie they include in the ticket price. If you have children they will love it.

The tower itself is just OK but our experience in the Chart House was quite good. The view is fantastic and the food is great. The service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry. There really isn't a quiet, romantic spot but it's worth a special occasion.

Its fairly priced considering the panoramic view and the quality food. Had the swordfish and it was excellent. Recommend going at a non-peak hour for a more relaxed dining experience

Great. Best time to go is at night. Try to get seating on bottom level (whick rotates around and you'll be able to see panorama view of city). Pricey menu, but there is no charge to go up to restaurant. So all in all, great place and worth its price.

We had a nice dinner in Chart House at the top of Tower of the Americas. It was a bit pricey as you would expect. The food was good, the service was exceptional, and the view fantastic. I was here in 1968 for the hemisfair and they have old pictures from back then on the walls.

It was a great time, my wife and I enjoyed it. When we were getting ready to go, my wife grabbed a drink since the heat index was 104 that day. She was behind a guy who was trying to get some water for his quadriplegic son. They told him that he would have to pay full price for a water cup. it was very apparent that he didn't have the money for it and the rude staff moved on and took the order from the next person. I had not seen any water fountains in the area to point him to so I jumped in the line and paid for them myself. The snotty kid that refused to give water to the guy for his kid was the one who served me. He literally grabbed me the exact same cups he had filled up for the guy and sold them to me for the full 6 bucks. I asked him why he wouldn't make an exception for the kid in the wheelchair and he just gawked at me. I will never spend another dollar to go back to this place. Refusing a handicapped child a drink of water on a 100-plus degree day. Despicable.

SUCKED!!!! We got there at 645pm on a saturday and was told an hour and 30 minute wait. We said fine. They say wait for a text. It's 1232am and still have not received a text. I called at 1045 and asked and the lady said I needed to talk to a hostess. Girls hosting were very rude and still told me 20 minutes. So I left. And STILL no text. Pretty much a reservation only place. Don't just walk in.

Went for my anniversary so we made a reservation for 8pm. Got there and waited 20 minutes for the elevator. We finally get to the restraunt and had to wait an hour to be seated. There was no point in making a reservation. We ordered an appetizer which never came out. While we waited for our food which we finally got 10 minutes before they closed, the waitress never came to see if we wanted anything more to drink. After we were served our food we were definitely rushed. Horrible service and an over all horrible experience

The food was really good and our waiter was amazing, and that view, but that was it. We Went on Saturday paid 15 dollars to park, went in, spoke with the receptionist and found that the wait was 2 and a half hours, so we just made reservations for the next day and left that day. We returned the following day , paid another 15 dollars to park , we happened to show up 2 hrs before our reservation just to be on the safe side. We checked in and waited in the lobby till it was time to go up to the restaurant. We got up to the restaurant at 8:30pm. We waited again till 9:20 to be seated then waited till 9:40 to order drinks! 10 minutes later ordered food.
Food took a long time to come and we finally had our dinner around 10:20 ish.
We finished around 10:40 and where going to go up to the viewing deck , however we were informed that it was closed (at 10:30) and that we had to go back down now.
Not worth it in my opinion paid $199, with out tip for dinner, $30 to park, and it will be $15 more if we want to go back just to go up to the viewing deck, if they let us go up with out us having to re purchase tickets or have dinner again.response / report this review -

Visit sucked. Visiting from MO on Mother's Day with mom. Poor customer service from phone call prior to visit. Girl on phone said she was on other side of bldg and didn't know movie times. Very hot, line grew due to extremely slow service. Manager, Deodrick Washington, made things slower. 8.5x11 sign posted at bottom of window saying cash only, so folks stood in line forever only to find that out. Mgr said 3D movie not working. Asked for clarification "Is the 4D movie functioning properly?" He said yes. Got in to movie- no 3D glasses issued. Sitting in chairs that moved but no visual accompaniment- sucked! Movie employee talked down on coworker. Only saving grace was observation tower- minimal employee interaction required. However, elevator girl was nice. Mgr rude and lied about movie working, equipment needs fixing, team needs customer service training. Horrible exp, esp for 1st visit to SA. More to it but characters limited by Google.

Beautiful view. Good food and fancy drinks. We usually go straight up to club 601. You can order a drink $10 - $12 and watch the sunset. Happy hour in 601 you can get appetizers between $4 and $8. It gets busy later into happy hour so service will get slower order you last round of food/drinks at least 15 minutes before HH ends so the server has time to ring it in. It's very windy on the observation deck so bring a ponytail-holder and quarters for the telescope.

I loved coming here when I was younger and after being away for college I finally came back to San Antonio with my girlfriend. I decided to bring her downtown to check out the sights and the Tower of the Americas. I can't blame them, but there are so many tourists and just so many people in general (but you can't blame them because it's an awesome experience). Anyways, other than that the customer service was alright, there were a lot of people and they were trying their hardest to accommodate to everyone. Also the prices have gone up SO MUCH since the last time I came here so we unfortunately didn't go up. But from what I remember it was SO BEAUTIFUL. I love San Antonio.
