No phone service for AT&T, no WiFi and I couldn't be more pleased with the homey touches these owners put into my stay here. Clean, comfortable bed, coffee pot, tea and lots of real dishes, utensils. There's a very nice pergola with lights and a large picnic table out by the fire pit. More picnic tables around the property and very quiet, quaint place to relax. Sightseeing around this area was beautiful and Sonya lent me an atlas (no signal on phone maps) and gave me a hiking guide to peruse through. I recommend relaxing and enjoying the home away from home they've created in their little valley here.

1/5 star's is a generous rating for this hotel. I had a terrible experience here. The establishment was not clean, and my girlfriend and I had multiple issues with why they wouldn't clean our room. The manager was very unprofessional and spoke to us in a very condescending way. While the location is great, it is not worth coming back to after a long day of hiking. The place was not clean, smelled of mildew, and we were treated poorly. I highly recommend staying elsewhere even if it means a few extra dollars.

It may not look like much from outside but I found it very charming! Not to mention very affordable for the close location to the park. The room was extremely clean and inviting and even came with free wi-fi. The bed and linens were very comfortable and there was a shared refrigerator and microwave right outside the room. The owners were very sweet and accommodating. They got the room ready for me before check in time, and took the time to tell me about all the sights and dining in the area. I found them very welcoming. It's not the Ritz, but is that really what you want when you visit the wilderness? I'll be staying here every time I visit the park!

Not a great place. Stayed here for two nights and was told there would be wifi - there is no wifi, and has been none for over a month apparently. She writes notes all over the hotel and the place is left dirty. When asked if she would clean the room, she replied "you nasty." The owner is odd and disrespectful. Also, you may have to bring cash since her credit card machine does not "always work" as she said. Would not recommend staying here. You would better off staying 30 miles from the park.

Comfy beds and a decent place to stay. Bathroom was well kept for what it is anyway. Off the beaten path but perfect location outside of the park.

Rooms are as described and the property is nice & scenic. However, I went during the winter and the room was horribly cold, took a few hours to warm up. It would have been a nice touch if the owner had turned up the heat before I arrived. Very icy on walkways & other areas of the property, salting was definitely needed. A large snowfall on my last night left snow up to my back tires. I had to shovel a path myself, but still got stuck. Luckily, other guests helped me get onto the highway just in front of the motel. The owners were nowhere in sight while this was happening!

The Room was clean, cozy, comfortable and inexpensive. It had 2 beds (a twin and a double), Coffee Brewer, wine glasses, coffee mugs, TV and a unique collection of Magazines. The motel is family operated and the host is very friendly. Reservation was painless, although it can only be made over phone (no online reservation).
