As far as small family restaurants go, this one is great. We knew we were stopping at the right place when we saw the service vehicles outside, the regulars know it. The food was good and the server rocked.

Traveling home to Michigan and wanted a home cooked meal. I found it on my phone and we hopped off of 77 and weren't disappointed. I started my meal with coconut cream pie! Chicken and dumplings were good, the rolls were delicious and the coffee was fresh and hot. The owners must treat their girls good because you can tell they like their jobsvery attentive and friendly.

Table of 3, we had meatloaf player which was excellent. The spaghetti was good but a lil chunky for our liking. Then last but not least we had open face roast beef which was also good. Service was good and quick. Try the place out for some home cooked food!

Love this place! Great country cookin. Tucked in between Sissonville High School and Sissonville proper on Route 21. Take a ride and give it a try. Great Chicken and Dumplings!

Around 5pm, Stopped in for dinner while traveling back home to NC. Waitress came to the table three times.
1. Menu ask for drinks
2. Drinks and Rolls
3. Food and ticket asked if we needed anything else and never came back for refills.
Couldn't get her attention to get refills because she only came back around once to hand someone else their food. It was not a busy evening either. There were two tables with two people at each and then a table of maybe 8 people on the other side. Two waitresses that I could see.

Food ehh. could have been better. We were not impressed. Considering the reviews I guess we were expecting too much.

Boneless pork ribs were cooked out of the sauce then smothered in BBQ sauce after so the pork was dry. Says on menu it slow baked in sauce
Mashed potatoes tasted as if they were instant
Fries were CHEAP didn't have a good flavor even with ketchup.

Now on to the chicken and dumplings that everyone has raved about, that we're good but, there was only 2.5 - 3oz of chicken on that plate. Everything thing else was gravy and dumplings. Green beans were good had to be from a can and tweeked and fried apples were definitely from a can.
We are foodies and know our food well and cook a lot, not sure much if the food was from scratch, but they claim to be.
(Now mind you there was a sign hanging on the wall that stated to ask for samples of our food because people's tastes are different, if I would have known this we wouldn't have ate there. (That's a RED FLAG IN IT'S SELF) CANT BELIEVE I MISSED IT!!!

Stopped in for lunch to this quaint little place. Wonderful food, great service and very clean and friendly atmosphere. Wish we lived closer! The chicken and dumplings were to die for.

Staff is good and food is great. The prices have gone up and portions have dropped but they are still a very good place to go.

The food is good; not great. The service was friendly and felt personal. They have daily specials and serve breakfast.

I would recommend this for a quick bite to eat only if you happen to be in the area.

We have them cater meals and they have been awesome, every single time. They have catered over 100 times, usually for about 40 people, and we have always been satisfied. They are always on time. When people get to vote on where to get the food, they always pick Topspot. And, their peanut butter pie is wonderful.
