Avoid this place at all costs. It's unfortunate 0 star reviews are not possible. This dealership is absolutely terrible, especially salesman Jim Carson. He will lie and cheat to get the sale. They are not honest and up front with the condition of their vehicles. DO NOT shop with confidence here. I ended up getting screwed on a purchase and live 2 hours away. When I call in to talk about it and get some answers Jim and the owner are "too busy" to talk because it's the "end of the month." Called a few more times and no one was ever willing to talk. Ha, what a class act dealership. If you do make the mistake of stopping in here and Jim Carson walks up to you, run away.

2010 Jeep Wrangler is burning more than 1 qt of oil per 3000 mile service. There are no leaks in or around the outside of the engine. After inspection, the dealer says that they couldn't find a leak, so the Jeep is good to go. After asking them to consider such things as worn piston rings, cracked head gasket, or an engine compression issue, they come back with a recommendation to run a $135 engine compression test. I called Chrysler, since I have the lifetime maximum care warranty, and Chrysler says, "I'm kind of surprised that the dealer didn't mention this, but you should start with a engine oil consumption test (which is free btw), and if your Jeep fails that test, we will most likely replace your engine because that model engine has been experiencing oil consumption issues". Why didn't the dealer know that my Jeep has an engine that has a known fault for oil consumption? Why didn't they pick up the phone to call their own parent company's warranty department to consult with them on what repairs or diagnostics they would cover? I'm disappointed that I as a consumer am having to troubleshoot my engine issues after taking it to a Jeep dealer. The only reasons I can come up with as to why they were going to send me off with an engine that is burning a large amount of oil, or charge me good money for a diagnostic test that is unnecessary is that (a.) they don't know better, or (b.) they don't care. Neither reason leaves me with a good feeling about continuing to trust my vehicle with them. If you have access to another dealer I would highly recommend taking it elsewhere for anything other than an oil change. Cheers and happy Jeeping!

Every time I come in to get service done, even if it’s routine oil change/maintenance, it turns into a three hour (not joking) wait. They tell you “do you have a little time?” so you think it will be a half hour. Two hours later, after you have to nag them for an update, they tell you they are finishing up. An hour later they tell you it will be done in 5 minutes and that they are doing the paperwork. 45 minutes later, they finally tell you it’s done. 700 bucks later you get your car back. Do yourself a favor and just make an appointment and come back later for your car. Or better yet, find a different place to take it.

We recently had warranty service completed at Tom O'Brien. My wife asked about a shuttle and they told her no problem. Once she got there they informed her we lived outside their shuttle area. They are on 96th and we live in Fishers. We also regularly received shuttles from Tom Wood directly across the street with no problems. We understand that they can't shuttle folks anywhere but this level of service pales to what we are used to from Tom Wood and other dealers. What a shame.

Disappointing experience. Have had no problems with Tom O'Brien Parts and Service in the past, but this time the charges were high and the personalities I spoke with were far from helpful.

Used their online parts/service appointment portal which gave me a total of somewhere around $80 for oil/filter change + tire rotation + a wiper blade change. I was surprised the wiper blades were included, so I confirmed with my service contact there, Cody, that this was the case. He said yes, and I waited awhile longer for them to go get some blades that fit. Added on alignment for another $137 after I was told the vehicle could use it. After tax, I expected a total of at most ~$240. I also had a 10% off coupon, so that should have brought the grand total down to just under $220 max. Instead, I ended up paying $296, realized the wiper blades weren't covered like they were shown to be online and realized the coupon wasn't tacked on. I addressed these issues, waited awhile longer, then received my new total, after issues were "addressed", of $290. The explanation was, 'Sorry about the wiper blades, we misunderstood. And the 10%, that only applied to the blades (isn't that some irony; 10% off a "covered" cost) because you were in the express lane; The express lane already has a discount applied to it.'

There was nothing express about the process. I scheduled this appointment two weeks ago, dropped off my vehicle and biked home, then returned only to have to wait around some more for the proper blade size to be found and placed on the vehicle. These guys need to get it together. Very poor consistency in what's being shown online, said in person, and actually done on the bill.

After visiting other dealerships, we purchased our Jeep Grand Cherokee from Tom O'Brien. The staff was very professional/ friendly and gave us a great deal! There was no sales pressure, only the facts. Well worth the 3.5 hour drive to the dealership and we will be coming back again!

Worked with Jim Carson on an 02 Wrangler. He was professional and to the point. This set me back at first, but once I understood what he was about, this deal went EXTREMELY smooth and agreeable. Good price, good service. Highly recommend this dealership and Mr. Carson

This is the fourth 300 that I have bought through O'Brien. Christine, my sales lady has been awesome to work with each and every time! Their service department is top of the line as well. I absolutely don't have anything bad to say about Tom O'Brien's dealership!

My sister and I brought brand new cars from here huge mistake, shady sales people that were fired shortly after our sale. She calls for warranty information transferred to service department no answer left three voicemails no return call. Finally called back again and demanded a manager who magically was able to reach someone in the service department. The man she transferred me to was extremely rude and condescending I will not come back here or recommend anyone else come here! As much money as people spend here you would think they could afford better customer service training

I scheduled a service with Cody at Tom O'Brien to get an oil change and A/C recharge and mentioned i had an issue with my interior lights working intermittently. They did a full inspection and discovered there was an issue with an electrical component and they needed to replace the main electrical board in my dash....and needed to keep my car until they replace the part. Since my car was under warranty, Cody got me setup with a rental car right there at their office. Cody called me every evening with an update as to the progress of the service.....even if he did not have an actual time of arrival for the part, he still called me to let me know that he is waiting and will update me as soon as he hears back from the factory. They certainly provided me with 5-Star Service and will take my car back to them if anything else goes wrong with my truck or if i want to trade it in for a new vehicle. Any car dealer can sell you a car, it's the after sale service that makes me their customer for life! Great Job Cody at Tom O'Brien!

If you are looking for a first class dealership when purchasing your next Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge, I would highly recommend Tom O'Brien. Not only are their facilities top notch but staff as well; professional and friendly. Buying a car is always lengthy but our salesman made the most of the down time (paperwork preparation, etc.) by getting to know us. The only reason for 4 stars, not five, is a couple of the features listed in the web ad on our Jeep, were not. This is not crucial, however in the future I will verify so both parties are completely 100% satisfied. Will definitely go there again.

This is the 4th Jeep we have bought from Tom O'Brien Jeep. I wouldn't go anywhere else! John King is wonderful to work with. They do not play the "typical" game there. They just get the deal done!! They also don't push you to buy a bunch of extra warranties, etc. I would highly recommend them!!

    MANAGEMENT: 3 STARS
Offered to sell my Dodge Neon SRT-4 and the manager said he had no interest in buying it. I find it strange that Dodge isn't interested in buying a Dodge. Makes me question if the newer Dodges are as reliable as mine.

    PARTS: 5 STARS
The parts department however deserves 5 stars. Over the past 3 years doing business with them, they're always been friendly and easy to work with.

Decent folks and a clean shop, but they certainly run on the very high side -if not ridiculous- for service labor rates and fees. With a $125/hour labor rate, added "shop fees" and a 50% markup on parts, you can do better by finding a trustworthy local shop to take your business to. They took a national average repair cost of $190-$225 and ran it all the way up to $320.

I won't be bringing my Jeep back to Tom O'Brien nor buying from this company.
