I absolute love this store, they have everything from umeboshi to natto (my favorites!) Growing up with a Japanese mom in NYC, we had easy access to a lot of Japanese ingredients and foods. But when I moved to Pittsburgh, I thought I wouldn't be able to enjoy the same dishes I grew up on. That is, until I discovered this little gem! While it is a small store, they have a decent selection of traditional Japanese rice, sauces, meats, produce and of course snacks! The quality is great and the whole place is authentically Japanese. I am so grateful this is in Pittsburgh.

you would never guess that such a tiny store could hold so many different products. the owners are super-friendly, and the spicy tuna recipe is the most unique and delicious sushi you will ever eat.

This is the greatest Japanese store in shady side. You will find everything that you are looking for. It's so fun.

Owners are great. Best Japanese selection for groceries in the city. Prices are consistent with quality of product. Will also find harder to get items if they can.
