I always enjoy Tim's have had the craving for a month was worth the wait. Good service good food nice atmosphere
I am really disappointed in the food. I use to tell everyone if you want good fish you have to go to Tim's. They changed the grease they do the fish in and the batter isn't as light and flakey. The Cole slaw the dressing has been change and don't care for it. Prices are ridiculously high. Only thing I can say good about the place is they are not busy and didn't have to wait for a table. I think that's the results of bad food and high prices.
This place is an institution! The fish and hush puppies are amazing, as are the macaroni and cheese and the fresh cut fries. Prices are outstanding given the quality and portion size. I see some sticks in the mud griping about how it isn't exactly like it was 40 years ago, but that's as ridiculous as it sounds. There's Bingo, Keno, sports, and a lively atmosphere as well as a ton of seating. Must try!
Terrific fish. Mac & cheese is really good. Highly recommend the firecracker shrimp either as an app or as a salad.
Haven't been there in a long time and it was just as good as I remember it to be. Fish was awesome and so were the hushpuppies
Been eating here for over 40 years. Quality was slipping before new owners took over, not sure if it's getting any better. It's hit or miss on the fish-one visit it's great, next visit it's so burnt it's like fish jerky. Can't beat the tarter sauce. The wait staff is always top notch. In a knee jerk reaction, they changed the buns due to a comment from the Canton Repository food critics. They're just OK but huge, fish is lost in the bun. Bring back the Nickels Honey Buns that satisfied patrons for many years. Hope they come around and get some consistency before it's too late.
Long time Canton staple. Fast service. Friendly atmosphere. Consistent food prep. Almost always leave satisfied.
This was the first time I have eaten there. The staff was very friendly and kind. They gave me a suggestion what to eat that was the restaurant customers favorite. I chose the two piece beer-battered cod with cole slaw, asparagus and onion rings. Appetizer was their famous hush puppies with honey butter delicious! Thanks for amazing meal.
We had an amazing experience there. Food was excellent service was phenomenal. We are from New York and decided to try this place for dinner. We ordered a variety of food from the menu including non fish items and it was all excellent. Highly recommend this quant cute place. Craig was our server and he made our experience there so great. Thank you Craig we all enjoyed our visit.
Fish Fish Fish If you come here for other reasons - then its on you. I've seen good and bad here - and I'll go back tomorrow - FOR FISH and I'll not snap at the server because of something about something that is NOT FISH So my recommendation - get the fish If its busy don't expect your server to acknowledge you flagging them down and leave their table they are talking too (unique to this place ) . I've never had an issue with the service staff following my beloved "show a little respect, you'll get a little respect"
Tim's was coming back as the premier fish place it once was, but my last visit was not as good as prior visits. Fish was greasy, hush puppies were soggy, not crisp. I'm hopeful my next visit will be back to their good standard.
My first visit for the often discussed fish. Beer battered fish did not disappoint. Parking lot was full but seating wait was short and sufficiently staffed to get awesome service.
Tim's I'd under new ownership and the food has been returned as better than it had been while at it's best! The clam chowder is wonderful as are the shrimp tacos. The iconic Tim's fried fish is really good again😀
Their beer battered fish is descent. Their tartar sauce is horrendous. Too sweet. If I had to guess I would describe it as miracle whip and sweet relish. It's a shame. Apparently folks like good fish with disgusting tartar sauce. I can honestly say I make beer battered fish that is just as good but my tartar sauce is incredible. Get rid of that sweet candy flavored tartar and make some real sauce! Your fish deserves it.
