tl;dr: if you want a burger, go to Good Stuff down the street. The table service here is not worth it.
The decor was nice, but I think it was the only thing going for the restaurant. Regarding price, this place had high costs for not very good food (and for the type of food it is). The spinach artichoke dip was bland and akin to opening a can of "cream of something" soup and stirring in spinach. The burger I had (beef) was very bland and did not taste like much at all. In addition, the lettuce on the burger arrived wilted and hot and that is somewhat of an assault to a burger as we know toppings really help make a good burger. The fries were fine, but probably because they were freezer fries and didn't need much preparation beyond being put in hot oil.
Great spot for a burger and beer, and definitely give their nachos a try. Happy hour special is half-price on most of their draft beers with wine and mixed drinks specials as well. Relaxed atmosphere. Easy to talk with other people. Friendly bartenders.
Great happy hour in Georgetown. Went on a Friday evening for drinks and a bite. They have a unique drink menu with flavors such as apricot margaritas. The happy hour snack portions are huge. I had the chicken bites and fried mushrooms. Both were excellent.
So to start off I come here everytime I am in DC. The burgers are amazing and the bartenders are usually cool. However, the nachos were all sour cream and chips, the service is incredibly slow (took 10 minutes to get my first beer and a food menu) but usually improves as you order more beers. If you come here, the happy hour menu seems like a good deal but the food usually blows. Stick with the burgers and don't walk on too thirsty.
When I first walked in, the place was busy and the hostess stand was hard to see. I stood around for about 2 minutes then found the hostess stand and finally was seated. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come and get our drinks and food. The food itself was pretty good, giant burgers, very juicy. The fries were okay. Our waitress knew we had waited awhile for service as they were switching staff so she gave us a free brownie float dessert. I’m sure we just came on a bad time. We got there right at 3:30.
The pulled pork sandwich, was very dry amd salty. The burger were good, nothing great. The fries were pretty though. Wait staff was good.
All I can say is yum! Amazing food and drinks. Happy Hour specials are great! The wings were cooked perfectly, the nachos were delicious and the slidders were so flavorful! $5 each during happy hour! Definitely recommend this place.
What can I say. Great happy hour drinks, even better food. Great music. the apps are Great! Image is a loaded thunder burger
Food was great with the exception that our Kobe burger was ordered medium and it came out well done. Very expensive burger to have to eat it well done so we sent it back. Server was friendly about it and got our burger out quickly.
Great experience! Our server Julia was super sweet & helpful. Made it easy for us to order & made great suggestions. The food was delicious & well worth the money. Would suggest, 10/10
The burgers were delicious! The service was fast, and the hostess was friendly. There is also a wide selection of beer if you like that. I got coffee and that was really good as well. It is a bit expensive, and noisy, but I would come again.
Enjoyed their burger with fries and beer. Visited late in the afternoon and had no problem finding a place to sit.
Best burgers in Georgetown and the DC area. You can build your own or choose from a few created selections. Delicious appetizers as well. The vibe and atmosphere makes this one of the most unique places to enjoy a great burger.
Best time I have had WITH MY FAMILY each and every person that works there were amazing.. do yourself a favor and go..you will see
Good food, great service, excellent beer, excellent ambience. We made reservations and were running late. Thunder Burger accommodated a 15 minute push back and had us seated in under 2 minutes from our arrival regardless.
