The entire staff at Zabriskie Law Firm is incredibly caring, professional, and helpful. They guided us through what could have been an incredibly stressful situation, and guided us to some amazing alternatives that changed our family’s situation for the better.
They are incredibly caring people, and we felt they truly cared for our well-being, not just our court case.
I highly recommend Zabriskie Law Firm to anyone that could use some guidance through the legal system. Amazing people!

I was so impressed with the honesty of this law firm that I felt I needed to leave a review (which is something I never do. I am obviously protecting my indentity, however, my comment comes as a firsthand witness to the manner in which they handled a legal matter for a very close friend of mine. My friend was being investigated for allegations of having committed a very egregious criminal offense. He paid a retainer (which he was told was non-refundable), for representation during the investigation. The lawyer immediately called the detective to stop any further attempts to interview my friend, and he remained on call for over a month, while simultaneously conducting multiple system checks both day and night to watch for warrants. In short, the investigation was abruptly terminated for some reason less than six weeks after it started. My friend contacted the lawyer to request a partial refund. The lawyer reiterated that the particular type of retainer was for representation during the investigation and was typically not refundable. However, after giving full consideration to my friend's special circumstances, the law firm made the decision to return the entire retainer, which was hundreds more than what my friend had requested. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed with the integrity of this law firm.

I was charged with a felony dui and I had called several different law firms before hiring the Zabriskie lawyers. The other law firms all left me feeling like my life was over and I was going to go to prison. I can't remember who I initially spoke with at Zabriskie but I remember immediately feeling better. I was told there was virtually zero chance I would go to prison and that the other lawyers I had talked to were simply trying to scare me for some reason. Why did those other lawyers lie to me!!! It makes me so mad even thinking about it! It turned out that my case was not defensible but somehow my lawyer got my felony reduced to a misdemeanor and miraculously kept me out of jail. After reading my police report my lawyer directed me to start alcohol counseling immediately and get on vivitrol shots, so I couldn't drink. The judge was super impressed by how proactive I had been. The judge told me to continue with what I was doing and allowed me to go home to my kids. Thank you!

I worked with both Dean and Steve from the Zabriskie law office, and they were able to get me out of my DUI after four or five other law firms had already told me I was screwed and would have to take the DUI because the cop's machine said my blood/alcohol was a .178. Dean and Steve were still very confident they could help me. They told me there was still a chance that I could avoid a DUI conviction even though I was more than twice the .08 law, but I would have to be extremely proactive. I did exactly what they said. I went to some place for an alcohol interview and completed some classes before I even went to court for my first time. I'm not exactly sure how my lawyers did it, but they got me out of my DUI! Even after all those other lawyers told me there was no possible way! I can't thank my lawyers from the Zabriskie law office enough! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

As they try to explain away that they had my case dismissed one of which they did, they fail to tell you that there were 2 cases. When I set up a payment plan they told me they could defend that case as well. The first case was a dismissal from the beginning, the second one would have required some work on their end. That's where I have a problem. When they called on a Friday night after banking hours demanding payment and wouldn't wait till Monday to get a payment they told me they would not wait and would not handle it. Then they told me they would do it for free. So when I was going to pay and not given a heads up to do so it was defendable. Then when they did it for free they just told me to please guilty to it. I think they wanted the second case as the bargaining chip, he'll plead to this drop the first. That's my opinion. Called 2 weeks ago to tell me he was going to sue over a negative review. So I took it off and called people who saw my case handled. They all told me they would give the firm a negative review. I called and left a message 2 weeks ago and still no reply but I expected that. During my case I went 2-3 weeks with no returned calls and I would call multiple times a week. It would take forever to tell you everything. So I'll just leave it at a bad experience, frustrating and go somewhere else. Since they have replied to my review when I get to a computer and can type out everything that was said and happened I will. He claims my second case wasn't defendable, they told me it was when we were working out a payment plan. Then they call on a Friday night demanding all this money or they won't represent me and won't even give me untill Monday to come up with the money. I could have defended myself on the second case with a better outcome, they didn't bother with gathering all medical records or anything. I think Dean is the head of the firm but I'm not sure, he told me to my face "I know you don't have anymore money or I would take you to the cleaners, when I know someone can afford it I'll get everything out of them I can.". I'll update with everything that happened it was a complete joke I should have tried to get a public pretender, these guys are just paid pretenders in my eyes and all the family members that saw how they conducted themselves. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU WILL THANK ME. They just say what you want to hear to get what they can out of you. I will have family post their thoughts on this "law" firm. My whole experience was a joke and embarrassing. Go to Petro he at least works for his money. If you need help with personal injury go to Mark Flickinger, he will at least call you back even if he's at work hours later ACTUALLY working on people's cases. If you do use these guys, on second thought just go somewhere else. I would never ever ever ask for your help again. As far as calls being returned they never were anyways. Like I said when I get to a computer I'll tell my whole side of the story, so will my dad, grandpa and wife. When we initially sat down they told me I wouldn't lose my license, the DMV hearing was an absolute joke on every level. Even this guy replying to my review has know clue what happened. On my second case I was told I could set up a payment plan and they could get my charge dropped down to a lesser one. Then after not returning calls forever they call me on a Friday night close to 6 demanding a payment or they are dropping out of the case. Wouldn't even give me untill Monday morning to get them money. We go to court and they submitted paperwork to drop out of the second case. Then Dean "who is a great friend of mine" says he will continue the cases together. When I was making a payment plan with them it was a defendable case, when he was doing it for free all the sudden it wasn't. They give good lip service but the only thing they care about is money. I understand it's a business but things I was told would happen didn't. Things seem real shady here to me. Especially with being such a good friend of Dean's you would think they would try a little.

I went through a nightmare situation - set up by my own lawyer wife
My experience with Zabriskie Law Firm started with Trevor Zabriskie taking my call at 10 p.m. on a Sunday night. He assured me that I would have strong representation and he even relayed some of his own personal history, which gave me incredible comfort in my time of need.
I then got together with Dean Zabriskie - he is extremely comfortable in the courtroom and intimately understands the nuances of the key players, the law, and the system (especially in Utah County, which is an "odd" leaning jurisdiction to say it nicely). I felt that Dean truly understood my innocence given the context of the whole story. But he was also firm and realistic with me when needed - that is important you need somebody to look strategically at all of the factors of your case and other ancillary events in your life (work, kids, other proceedings, etc) pull it all together and have a vision for an outcome that you can live with Dean spent a lot of time with me, talking about family, children, life experiences, etc. It made me feel a connection and you need to feel connected when you're going through the most horrifying nightmare of your life. I'm grateful to Trevor and Dean for making me feel valued and going to bat for me.response / report this review -

I was accused of an offense I did not commit, and the County Prosecutor was seeking to take away not only my freedom, but my life. My attorney at the time suggested that I accept a plea deal that still would have sent me to prison for the next 7 years; he told me that if I went to trial, I would lose. It was the most helpless feeling in the world. I was innocent, and I was about to lose my entire life! A family friend suggested I contact Rhome Zabriski. I met with Rhome, Dean, and Steve, and they had a completely different appraisal of my case. The whole ordeal of going to trial was more stressful than I could possibly explain, but my team of attorneys and their staff supported me every step of the way. They not only spent countless hours preparing me for trial, but many additional hours just to bolster my moral and assure me that I was going to make it through all this and that everything was going to be all right. In a nut shell, I endured three long days of trial and several grueling hours of jury deliberation, until I finally heard the two most beautiful words of my entire life: "NOT GUILTY!" I will forever be grateful for their help.

I've used Zabriskie Law Firm a couple of times and everyone that I encountered was very professional, courteous, and helpful. I would highly recommend Zabriskie Law Firm to anyone who needs help and isn't sure what to do.

Called me 2 weeks ago to tell me he was going to sue over a negative review. So I took it off and called people who saw my case handled. They all told me they would give the firm a negative review. I called and left a message 2 weeks ago and still no reply but I expected that. During my case I went 2-3 weeks with no returned calls and I would call multiple times a week. It would take forever to tell you everything. So I'll just leave it at a bad experience, frustrating and go somewhere else. Since they have replied to my review when I get to a computer and can type out everything that was said and happened I will. Then they call on a Friday night demanding all this money or they won't represent me and won't even give me untill Monday to come up with the money. Great lawfirm! They gave me a student discount so that i could actually afford a retainer. And they walked me through all the details in my case so that i had a clear idea of what all was going to happen at my hearing.
