  Tom and Stan were wonderful in taking care of all the details for the funeral after my father passed away back in July. I couldn't be more pleased with them during this very difficult time. The only issues I encountered were with the Navy and their refusal to furnish the full military service that my dad not only earned through his 30 years of service to his country but also requested. Despite multiple attempts through the fine gentlemen at Woods and my attempts to get help through first the Navy in Jacksonville and Greenville, and then through Senator Tim Scott's office, I could not get any assistance. It is a shame that our veterans are not given the respect they have earned as we were told that due to current budget cuts, the Navy could not grant his request.

  Wood Mortuary is superb. Stan Hamilton was the funeral director for both of my parents. He gave us the best of care with attention to detail. He excelled in planning and executing their funerals and fulfilled their every wish. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Hamilton for his help. He is a kind, thoughtful, and loving gentleman. He gave me peace of mind following my parents' deaths. All the staff at Wood Mortuary are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Wood Mortuary.

  Too bad I could only give 5 stars to The Wood Mortuary staff for their exceptional caring and concern for our family during our time of loss. Their expertise is beyond compare!!

  My family has used The Wood Mortuary for many years. Most recently with the passing of my husband. Myron Paris has been the one that we talked with and helped use through most of these times. I appreciate all he has done. He helped me and my husband preplan our services and when my husband passed away every thing had been taken care of and I did not need to go and make decisions in haste. Thank you for what The Wood Mortuary means to this Community.
