I have lived in this community since Sept 2017 and it is the best community I have ever lived in. It cost a little more than I've ever paid but its well worth it. There's always a community event each month and the other residents are very nice. It's never loud or messy and people just seem to keep to themselves and go about their lives without drama. I love the scenery of the unit and the nature trails are awesome. I also enjoy that the community have several different pools and tennis courts. There's also a dog park. The only reason I did not give the community 5 stars is because not all one bedrooms have washer & dryer hookups. You have to use the communal laundry room and the machine is often broken. I have wasted $20 trying to put money on my laundry card and it took them about a week to come and fix it. Other than that, this is a great quiet and safe community to call home.
Excellent apartment community that is still under renovations. I went to take a look at some of the available options while apartment hunting, and ended up booking an apartment on the spot. A very large apartment complex, with a different array of available amenities (like a 11000 sq. ft. gym! and tennis courts!). The leasing agents working here were professional and helpful. I went on a Saturday, and even though only 2 leasing agents were working at the time, the community manager, Kelly, was able to assist me after a brief wait period. She walked me through all my options and was able to find the perfect apartment for me, even though I made her change so many parameters. Some of the apartments here are a bit pricey, but she was able to find me a place in my price range and I would gladly recommend anyone to at least visit this place. I am confident that you'll love it.
I've been living in this community for 2 months now and have been very impressed. My leasing agent, Marissa, was awesome through the entire process. She was patient as I came by a couple of extra times to look at the property and helped answer all my questions. The community is quiet and well kept. I love the landscaping. Community events are fun and engaging. The gym is top notch. The resident center staff are very helpful and maintence requests are cared for the first time. I will mention that some items I reported when moving in took a while to be repaired, but they weren't things that were a major issue. I feel like I'm getting a great value for my money here. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place.
This is a phenomenal place to live. Great location, nice floor plans and wonderful amenities are just a few perks of living here. The staff in the office is outstanding. Marissa is the best leasing agent! She is very informative, sweet and helpful. Although I've only been living here for 2 weeks, I'd highly recommend anyone interested in moving to the area to make this your number one choice.
I enjoy living in this community a lot. The staff here is wonderful. I've been living at Lake Park for almost a year now, and unfortunately I had a pipe leak in my first apartment here. Because the leak was underneath my apartment, I had to move out immediately. Ty Washington helped me out GREATLY. Not only did he get me into a new apartment swiftly, but he helped me to find an apartment I was comfortable with for a reasonable increase in price. He was very attentive to my situation and he is definitely FOR THE RESIDENTS. No matter what I need, I know I can always count on him to help me. Thank you Ty!!!
I've lived at The Village for 1 ½ years now. All of my service requests have been taken care of within 24 hours. Just recently, I was in the middle of cooking my family’s Sunday dinner when my garbage disposal went out. I called the residents’ office for a maintenance service request. Within 10 minutes of the service call a maintenance technician was at my door. The maintenance technician Wesley was pleasant and did the necessary repair. I was able to finish my family's dinner.
In addition, I like the beautiful landscaping throughout The Village community. It makes a difference when you can enjoy coming home to lovely surroundings.
I've been living here since 2013 and just love it! After a stressful day at work, driving into the back gate is so calming with all the beautiful landscape and well manicured lawn. What I like best about living here is 1. Gated and maned security with a 24 hour rover 2. Fitness center free weights including Smith machine and Squat rack 3. Quiet and safe 4. Maintenance request are addressed quickly.
My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year now and we really enjoy it, as soon as saw the apartments and the community we were sold. Anytime that we have had issues the maintenance team has been great and fixed the issues right away. The last two issues we had Mike came the next day and fixed both issues timely and correctly. The community has so much to offer, I love that they have a couple that puts on all types of events. They are always fun and change every month, my personal favorite is the Paint & Sip. We also love the gym, its very nice and provides pretty much all you need so that you don't have to pay for a gym membership. Both trainers Chris and James are great as well. All and all it has been a great place to live this past year and we look forward to the next!
I Came to The Village at Lake Park in 2012 after the loss of my husband.
and in the middle of losing my sister, The staff was very helpful.
Some of the office staff I started with have moved on.
But …..
Kristina Evans is still here and I am so glad,
Kristina along with others have been so gracious and understanding .
I must say the entire office has always been wonderful. My transition was made easy because of the office crew, and again when I had to change apartments because of renovations.
I love living at the Village it is centrally located to any direction.
The grounds are kept up nicely I especially love the nature trails.
Maintenance crew is always available, courteous and friendly.
Biggest bonus of all is a gate guard and the night rover for security
and the overall safety of this community, it really feels more like a community verses apartments.
One of my photo’s below of my walk around the community.
I lived at the Village from 2006-2016. It was a wonderful experience. The only reason I left is because I got married and purchased a home! This property is convenient to major interstates, retail shops, and great eating spots. Now to add the Battery to the list, who wouldn't want to live there!!! Alex and Donna are amazing and I absolutely love them! They made my stay at the Village such a pleasure!! If you're looking for a great place to live with 5-star amenities, and 24-hour security then you have found your home!
My mother and I were subjected to racial discrimination. None of the staff wanted to help us and Kevin Dixon begrudgingly helped us. Kevin Dixon never asked for our price range and kept telling us that the only apartments available were $1200 and higher. He went on to say that the smaller apartments and even the larger apartments were not available and kept pushing us to get an apartment out of my budget. Before arriving, I had checked on the website to see what was available and what could be toured. I was surprised that there was nothing available.
Kevin Dixon took my mother and I on a tour of an apartment. He did not bother with walking us through the apartment. He stood by the door and only provided a little information when asked.
I looked online once again after the tour and found an apartment that was in my price range and during the time I wanted to move in. I applied for it and Kevin Dixon contacted me the next day telling me that that apartment would be available in March and I had to move in immediately if I wanted it. He once again kept insisting for me to get the $1200 apartment. Kevin Dixon then suggested that I could be on the waiting list and would not have to pay the admin fee unless an apartment came available. Of course, I agreed to that only to see two days later that I was charged for the application fee and the administrative fee.
Kevin Dixon admits in an email that he "may have" misrepresented the waiting list. I contacted the centralized leasing office who told me the apartment that Kevin Dixon claims was not available would be available in June and not March. Kevin Dixon continued to say that the Village at Lake Park website was not up to date. I asked for my application to be canceled and administrative fee to be refunded. Even though the application was canceled, my credit was still checked and I have a hard inquiry on my credit report for no reason.
I did want to make Village at Lake Park my new home because I have visited a friend that lives there multiple times and enjoyed the community and atmosphere. However, after this experience, I will make sure to tell associates, friends, and family members to stay away.
STAY AWAY!! Let's start with the moving in bonus that they give to you and then take away and say that you spent it. When my bank account shows I spent my own money and not the bonus. Then let's talk about the ants. I learned so much about ants I should have a degree. Did you know that if you kill an ant then it's brothers will come to get it. How many ants did I deal with? 10s of thousands. Literally they were everywhere and impossible to get rid of. They always came right back in packs. Not to mention the roaches.. Now let's talk about when I moved out a month early because of said ants and roaches. I asked politely to have a prorate on my apartment as it was cleaned out with inspection (which they tried charging me for a new oven that was very scratched before I moved in. Luckily I had documented it.) and I was ready to turn in my keys. I was denied a prorate of any kind. I was told I was financially responsible until the end date. Fine. You are greedy but fine. Now I have moved out of state with my keys because I'm responsible for the apartment. Then I get an email saying I'm going to be charged an additional days rent every day that I have my keys. Just about all that I can take. This is a shady apartment complex run by Cortland partners. Do not move here unless you want to pay way more than the apartment is worth. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had with renting. I will tell everyone I know the truth about Cortland partners shady business practices. They are a money hungry company who prides itself in pinching every dime out of their residents. That's why they try to get you with the signing bonus. You will pay way more than that bonus if you live here. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
I absolutely love The Village at Lake Park! Not only are the apartments and community gorgeous, but the staff is also amazing. Jomeka Lawrence is an exceptional seasoned member of the team and has made our experience here great! We are currently in the process of renewing our lease here, and have chosen to move into a larger floor plan - Jomeka has made the transition so easy for us. If you are considering moving to the village, you will not be disappointed and will never want to move out!
I have truly loved my experience here at The Village! One of the managers Todd was extremely helpful with me getting situated into my new place. I love the gym and the community events are the absolute best!
I have lived at the village for 2 years and all of my experiences have been wonderful. I'm a full time chiropractic student and this has been my first time living on my own. I feel completely safe with the 24/7 security and community. The staff has never let me down and they're at my apartment within 2 days whenever I need a hand. With being away from home, this means the world to me. Michael Miller has been such an amazing help with my apartment specifically, he always goes above and beyond. I don't know what I'd do without this dependable staff. I have in the past and I always will recommend moving to The Village at Lake Park.
