Alumni, this college is one of the worst. The college is all about money and which programs bring it in. I would not recommend this college to anyone. As someone who truly liked UT and was a very involved student, I can honestly say that UT only cares about UT and not about their students. If you want a good education and to belong to a college who cares about its students, don't choose UT. I understand that one of UT's biggest attractions is it being CHEAP, but remember you get what you paid for.

i am really loving this school the friends i met here are super great like my friend @bigrob2271 and the classes are really helping me become a better person and gain a skills that will help in my career in the future i just think if you come here you should be ready to have a fun time and meet friends you will be with for the rest of your life i do just wish the liberty would stay open 24/7 everyday because i like studying there and i like to use trio and i am really into campus org's on campus like the black student union #utyouknow

Mostly terrible experience in Toledo. I love the College of Law but the rest of the University has given me a bad experience. A lot of incompetent/rude staff, they don't care you're paying their salary. Facilities are run down, equipment is old, there are currently huge cutbacks with the medical center, pharmacy, facility hours of operation, and the hiring of essential personnel. The gym has limited hours and equipment compared to Kent State University and closes during football games and closed for over a month to fix "water leaks" during this past summer. The gym turns lights and tvs off sometimes a half an hour before closing, and doesn't fix broken equipment. Selfish administration keeps increasing their salary and letting everyone else take the hit. Parking enforcement is relentless. I have paid $150 every semester and have received over $200 in parking tickets because there are no spaces and not having a front license plate on my vehicle. The surrounding housing is cheap but horrible. I know of many students who have had to take their landlords to court over terrible housing conditions. Toledo in general, has just been a very unpleasant experience, the city has a very limited budget and does a poor job making things flow smoothly. Go somewhere else, I promise you wont regret it.

Friendly environment. Toledo is not a great city to enjoy but definitely it's a great city to live and the University of Toledo, the diversity and friendly environment make it so perfect.

Very politically biased, if you don't believe what the professors believe, they will give you a lower grade out of spite. Professors show up late multiple times or just call off because they were protesting, some times they take the class protesting regardless on how you feel on the topic.

I had my worst years in my life at this school. I went to Respiratory Care program and it put my life down. Instructors have never encouraged me, and always put me down and let me feel stupid. Although I graduated from this program, I still feel the pain of every moment I was in class. Treated Poorly. The program has a lot of things that need to be changed. I still can't believe how we do our rotations for 24hr/week without getting any point, and 3 patient assessment/semester without any point either. I also can't forget when my teacher said " you are the lowest in the class" I was like WHAT? why she said that to me? I haven't even asked her. Plus, she was lying cuz I knew my friends grades. Is it because I'm an international student, or is it just her personality, or is it me so kind and respectful to her as a teacher. All the instructors of this program are unprofessional. They put us in stress the whole time. Till the last moment of the program, you don't know if you are passing the class or not because every thing depends on the finals. Literally, my life sucks at the UT.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM AT THE UT TO ANYONE AT ALL.

Main objective is to take your money. Then following that throw fines on top of that for being late with paying because they won't take it from your student loans right away sometimes. Then they expect you to pay for their incompetence in the finance department. Have fun trying to get a hold of anyone there to fix your problems too because most likely it will be an answering machine that when you leave a message they most likely will delete since there is no call back ever.

The education itself is hit or miss. Some professors have long outstayed their welcome because of tenure allowing them to be an educator that does not educate their students to the best of their abilities allowing the students to fail in the application of the material to the lab/real world. Some of the educators would rather be in their lab than actually educate their students which can be seen in some lackluster lectures (they copy info straight out of the textbook onto a PowerPoint and read the slides word for word and then end lecture). I cannot speak about the other disciplines taught at University of Toledo ,because I had limited contact there, but when it comes to their Natural Sciences division I would avoid most of it at all costs. There were great educators there, I cannot deny that, but most do not want to be there and teach the students it seems.

Who knows? Maybe if the administration stopped siphoning money off of the University into their pockets and actually paid their educators and treated them like human beings rather than dollar signs maybe this would not be a problem.

So far, having just enrolled a couple days ago, there isn't anything negative I can say about this university, other than a lot of the orientation activities are forced, and it costs a lot of money (although it's cheap comparatively). Although having toured the engineering center, I love that part. Everyone was very cooperative and friendly. I can't wait to start, and I will review this place more throughout the years.
