The John P Lowth Entrepreneurship Center is an impressive center with unbelievable resources! I would recommend the center to any entrepreneur looking to grow their business.
Excellent University. Our son is about to graduate and had one of the best life experiences attending there. Campus is beautiful, well maintained and always expanding. As a private university, we found that the overall costs to attend was less than our own so called state schools up north. Always warm and sunny in Tampa!
Wonderful sight of the University of Tampa during the St. Patrick's Day celebration. Very neat structure to explore!
Harvard on the Hillsborough. A private university that is more concerned about your education that publishing books. Dr. Vaughn is the best thing to ever happen to this University. Has grown the enrollment 4 fold.
Never have a visit here but I can tell be nice place to start a good success and make new friends
What kind of University are you? You employ a professor that wishes death and destruction upon Texas during a natural disaster. Because the State of Texas did not vote for his candidate. I hope your institution shores up it's hiring practice.
Unbelievable.
You employ anyone that would publicly say such a thing about anyone. And cant spell well either. Our Daughter will NOT be attending your school in 2019.
University of Tampa Sociology Professor Ken Storey tweeted out suggesting that people in Houston deserve the “Instant Karma,” presumably for voting for Donald Trump.
It should be noted that Houston residents voted primarily for Hillary Clinton and have sued overt the state law which prohibits their sanctuary city policies.
That doesn’t seem to matter to Storey, who tweeted on Sunday, “I dont believe in instant Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesnt care about them”
n his initial tweet, it wasn’t immediately apparent if he was referring to people who voted for President Trump, or Sentaors Ted Cruz and John Cornyn who voted against aid for Hurricane Sandy.
Both senators stated that they voted against the bill because it included billions in spending that was unrelated to the hurricane.
Ken Storey appeared to have clarified more in a response which suggested that it was directed at Trump voters, saying that Florida voters who “voted for him here deserve it as well.”After attention was brought to his tweets, Storey has shut down his Twitter account.
Ken Storey is listed on the University of Tampa website as a visiting assistant professor with the description, “Kenneth Storey focuses on urban issues within the southeastern United States, including research in gun shows, planned communities and unique issues of tourism focused commercial districts.”
His writing is frequently published by Orlando Weekly.
The catastrophic flooding in the Houston area continues to force more than 30,000 people from their homes and eight people have been confirmed dead. At least four children have drowned.
More heavy rainfall is expected.
Warrior 12 has announced a limited edition Texas Crusader shirt that will only be available for a short time to help raise money for relief efforts in Texas. The only chance to get this shirt is to order now before he pre-order ends. You can order the shirt HERE.
Excellent University! My Daughter went to UT and the curriculum is great and I loved th the Professor to Student ratio.
Great campus, expanding, friendly and diverse backgrounds/cultures, and check out the state of the art entrepreneurship center!
Enjoyed my time here. Learned alot of life lessons. Staff and faculty were friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the students.
Evil always wins.
Excellent daycare; lotta yoga pants, lotta kids putting their time into Ybor since their only previous outlet to drink underage was some deadbeat town in New England that somehow convinced them (of all the cities in Florida) Tampa's on their To Do list. To the parents: it's fine. If it's easy and you want to shovel your kids out of your inner circle, it works. To the students: the ones who can't do end up teaching. The ones who can't teach end up teaching in Florida. Don't let a tan justify your exclusion from a decent education. Shape up your GPA and go some place where textbooks aren't 3 years behind the industry standard.
Place is beautiful, even though I didn't personally attend to this university, I may affirm that its students are lucky enough to have such an astounding campus.
As a Tampa native let's just say I am proud this University represents this city. Campus is full of beautiful victorian-era architecture, wonderful staff where I happen to have a dear friend who is a professor here as well and from her standpoint has the same high opinion of the school as well. Not to mention they host a wide variety of community events and have a wonderful Museum on campus
