This school is not Christ centered as they claim but money centered. They do not accept students based on education or academics like they claim on their website. But, I guess that is why a majority of certain people attend there. The campus is beautiful and continuing to be embellished.
I have never been here, but am making a plan to flaying some day some as well addend church service all so
Be very very thorough with your questions with recruiters at Dallas Baptist University. I was told that the "Adult Degree" Programs offered real degrees. Be sure and check. Will an academic graduate program anywhere else recognize a "Bachelor of Arts and Sciences"?
If you are a student, look for real, traditional, four year degrees that you have heard of before. Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, BBA, etc.
As for me, my wages are being garnished for courses towards a "Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences" degree. It is NOT a traditional four-year degree. It is not a degree I want at all.
I explained this to the recruiter. I am seeking a REAL degree. She assured me that it is.
Very questionable recruiting tactics. I consider this extremely dishonest.
When I graduated in 1981, it was called Dallas Baptist College. It was awesome. Some classes were as small as 5 students which gave you great access to the great teachers they had.
DBU trains and equips students for servant leadership. I spent a few years here getting my PhD in leadership. Beautiful campus. Incredible faculty.
If you're looking for a good education without going bankrupt then DBU is not the place for you. The cashier's office and financial aid will screw you over and do everything in their power to make you pay for their mistakes. Some of the teachers truly do care about you and because of that I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 star but some of the worst teachers I've ever seen teach at DBU and make me think to myself "I paid three credit hours for this???" Chapels are a hit and miss because sometimes DBU gets crazy people to give crazy sermons. And a lot of the people are shallow and self obsessed hypocrites. This is the most expensive church camp you'll ever go to.
Nice university and buildings. I would recommend to live on campus.
this place is a great environment and beautiful. i highly recommend this college. romans 1:16
I still can't bring myself to forgive Pastor Jeffries for his treatment of our faith (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or "Mormon"), but I do definitely appreciate and respect them for the bible teachings about Christ and about strengthening families. Keep up the good work guys!
This school changed my life. The faculty cares so deeply about your success, not only educationally, but spiritually as well. If you are looking for an amazing education, and to be positively challenged in your faith, I highly recommend Dallas Baptist University. Not to mention, it's been ranked the number 1 safest university in the country!
DBU also gives out amazing scholarships. I know several student who were able to pay off their entire first year with scholarships alone. So don't let the price online scare you away. Call the admissions office and they will tell you everything that you would like to know about the university!
