Me and my wife love love love!!! This place. We both are from Cleveland, but live in DC, so every time we come home we go here. Our absolute favorite item on the menu is the blackened grouper sandwich. Do yourself a favor and get it on a burger bum instead Trust me. Atmosphere is great for couples and groups. We actually had our wedding rehearsal dinner here 2yrs ago. The staff is always great. Come ready to relax, eat great food, drink awesome beer, and have fun.
My friend had her baby shower brunch here. The food was soooo good! Loved the atmosphere. Had the crab cake Benedict. The food, drinks, and service were awesome!
The wife and I love going here! One of my favorite dishes is the Chicken and Waffles! They serve it with Cinnamon Butter, Maple Syrup, and Sriracha We often take our out of town guests here to impress them with the variety here in the Cleveland area! Good food, good service, nice environment. It can be noisy when there's a crowd. But it's a lively place, so that's too be expected. I'd definitely recommend South Side Restaurant!
This was a great find as I was driving across country. I must say, Cleveland is an awesome city! The South Side didn't disappoint! I had the short rib Mac n cheese, it was tasty. I recommend this as a sharing plate. The turkey burger on brioche was also great!
A full selection of beers and wine, and a unique but approachable menu. This is not simple pub fare. You won't have any trouble finding something that appeals to your taste. And it's prepared very well.
The bartenders don't forget you no matter how busy they are.
And great tvs for watching sports.
The staff and service is pretty good, but the food is mediocre. I can't put my finger on it, but it doesn't taste very fresh. I don't think this is a scratch kitchen. Higher quality meats, homemade sauces with a little more zest, more careful execution could go a long way. This restaurant is really like the Applebees of Tremont with its Sysco food, huge parking lot, suburban crowds.
Love this place. Never had a bad meal. Nice big patio. Good beer selection. Very good hostess and wait staff.
Walked in hungry. It wasn't busy. Servers walked past us with our menus about 20 times!!! No one said a word. I even waved my arms at the host a while after we got there while he was looking right at us. One of the servers even started sweeping the floor right next to us because they were so not-busy. No one even brought us water or acknowledged us. They all just kept looking at us and ignoring us. Several tables got seated a while after we got there and got brought water immediately. I am fairly certain a lot of people enjoy this place. But for us it, we didn't even get a chance.
Super friendly and accommodating staff. One of the cutest patios in the area. Upscale feel to it and yet casual and comfortable. Unique and delicious menu. Drink menu is relevant and intriguing. Quick service. Very pleased.
I like the South Side because they have good food and reasonable prices. I especially like their taco options and the fact that they serve until 2am.
Always a good spot. Until their management messes it up, it will always be a recommendation in the hip side of Cleveland
One of my favorite places to spend an early Sunday afternoon. Their chicken and waffles is one of my favorite items on the menu. The breakfast pizza on the other hand left a lot to be desired.
I had high hopes for this place, but my hopes and dreams were crushed. We arrived and the staff overall was quick and helpful. We placed our orders then things went down hill, had to wait a while for re-fills, and I got what the lady next to be ordered. By the time my order came out I was the only one with food as others had already finished theirs. They said their food was not what they had imagined. Won't return if in the area, but they were busy so I'm sure some things are good, they seem to have a pretty decent sized drink option list.
I have been here 3 times. It's a great place to take visitors. Menu has lots of interesting options, locally sourced ingredients, and good cocktails. A bit pricey, but it's just that kind of place. It's worth it for what it is- gourmet, local, trendy, middle-class, sports bar/bistro. Lighting is dark and It's nearly impossible to find from the street. Is there even a sign??? It's behind a giant "Bike Box" structure, so just look for that.
