Great German food, very cool building, and a large outdoor beer garden. The mustard is the hottest around and they also sell cigars

Food was very good. Great atmosphere. I would only recommend making it clearer what beers were on draft and what comes in a can. Pretzels were oven fresh and the schnitzel was great.

Great food, great service. The selection of German beers was great and the food and portion sizes was out of this world. Highly recommend for larger groups as well.

Attended a wedding here and was amazed by how cool the building was. Lots of history and character abound in the place. The staff was quick and helpful. They converted the room from ceremony to dinner fast and kept the food coming! Everything was wonderful for the couple's big day!

I travel the country a lot and I eat out a lot and let me tell you right now that this is the best food that I have had in the Midwest. Seriously the best German food you'll find in the Midwest and some of the best food you will find in the entire state of Indiana. Absolutely loved the service the atmosphere and everything about this place! Will definitely be visiting again the next time I pass through Indy!

This place is awesome! As the name, it's in basement. It's an upscale place with great selections of beer. Food was good too. You should keep the stomach empty before coming here, since the plates were giant lol

Great outdoor space for listening to music and drinking. It can get VERY packed so don't plan on having conversations in the outside venue. The inside area is nice and the food is good. Prices are a little steep.

One of my most favorite places to go in Indy. Wayne & Mike, the bartenders, are the greatest guys you will ever meet and they can make a MEAN pineapple upside down shot. Great place for bands, especially when Zana Doo is playing. Best cover band in the city.

Great German food, beer, and bands. This is a hot-spot for the summer to hang out in the Bier Gardens and relax. I recommend that you get a hot sampler and try the chicken cordon sticks.

Food was delicious! German food is always so comforting and hearty. This place has great portions of all the classics. The dining area is decorated with all kinds of German glassware, woodwork, and paintings. The beer hall is really cool and the selection of fine German beer is truly something to enjoy. When its warm, you can go up and enjoy the Biergarten! Fantastic place.

While the food can be expensive, it's good quality AUTHENTIC German fare. Make sure you understand authentic German before complaining about the flavor! Spicy mustard is delicious and killer hot.
The beer garden is an excellent experience with typically good bands. It's reasonably priced if you buy beers 32oz at the time.
We also had our wedding here. The service was great and the coordinator was excellent. Prices were very reasonable for food and rooms. Highly suggest going with a hosted bar rather than an open bar.response / report this review -

I would go back in a heartbeat. This food, the wine and spirits are all incredible. We had the choice of traditional thanksgiving meal or ordering off the menu. We ordered off menu and we were super impressed. My husband's filet was aged and then perfectly prepared. Our 7yo chose lobster mac-n-cheese which was full of lobster The staff handled
