Get the elk tacos.
For that matter, just order their appetizers for dinner. Our whole table thought that the appetizers were the highlight of the entire meal.
Great environment in the restaurant: warm and inviting, but just pretentious enough to feel like you are at a special place.
Expect to waitfor everything. But you are not coming here to be in a hurry anyway.

Amazing food. Everything is local ingredients. I had the smoked chicken and cornbread. The smoked chicken was amazing! A little on the pricey side. For me getting an appetizer and meal with water and a tip was about $35. Very nice and comforting atmosphere.

This place is awesome! The bar is incredible serving very generous over pour drinks. The food is equally impressive. We shared a tower of onion rings, a Tomahawk steak and a couple of side dishes. We were not able to finish our meal and there were three of us.

There four of us met up for happy hour yesterday. We started out at the bar in the back but eventually got a table outside. Our table was directly across from the door leading outside, so you could not miss us. Although the atmosphere is nice, the service last night was terrible. The bartender came out to tell us he was closing our tab inside so we could start a new one with our server, understandable. So who was our server? We don't know because no one ever came to our table for our order for a good while. Finally, my cousin got up and asked the female server who had walked right past us several times, if we could order a drink. Once she finally served us, we never saw her again. We sat at the table with empty glasses. So two of us got up and went to the bar to order our drinks. I looked around to see where the server was and she finally acknowledge us AFTER we had already gone to the bar for our drinks. I don't like to write negative reviews but this had to be written.

Came here during happy hours and the place was packed! There was a long line but we were seated just after around 5’.
We sat outside and it felt really nice. My chicken fried steak was good and huge. My margarita was stronger than I expected.
And of course this place is pricey considering it’s right in Las Colinas.response / report this review -

New to the area and a friend suggested we go here and I'm sooo glad he did! We sat at the patio bar and our server took great care of us. The food was amazing, try the pork chop and kale pizza!! The atmosphere was very welcoming and a great blend between upscale, chic, and laid back. Do yourself a favor and visit The Ranch!

This was a good find! While you are paying more here, the quality and quantity of the food are right where they should be.
I had a bacon wrapped steak, which was cooked to perfection. The twice baked potato was one of the best I had.
The waitstaff was very friendly, helpful and offered suggestions.
A major plus that they use a Portable Credit card terminal.. this means no one besides yourself ever touches your card.

Great atmosphere and very informed and helpful staff. I had the smoked fried chicken which was wonderful! Be warned that the wagu sirloin is marinated which is completely unnecessary for a cut of beef of that quality. It's not terrible but a simpler preparation would be better. All in all it was a wonderful meal and I will definitely be back!

Some of the best steak on the outskirts of Dallas! They have a great beer selection here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The bathrooms were CLEAN. We called in advance for a party of 5 and were seated right away. If I'm every in the area again, I will definitely be back.

The Ranch is a busy place and it's obvious why. Quality food and top notch service make this a popular destination. If you're lucky enough to have Chip as your server you'll be well taken care of. He'll provide you with solid recommendations and take great care of you along the way! Do yourself a favor and order the Elk tacos from the appetizer menu and get the Mac and cheese. They're both amazing and both your taste buds and you will thank me!

This place has great steaks and ribs. The ribs were a little too spicy hot for some but still tasty. Service was very good.
As expected there were no real vegan choices and only a couple of vegetarian choices.
Restrooms were clean and Friday night entertainment provided. It is difficult to find parking but worth the trouble (or use valet service).lresponse / report this review -

Good food, good service, good beer selection and good entertainment. I visited when Julia Hatfield was playing. She was great. It was very busy but the staff and bartenders handled it well. It took some time to get orders placed but the orders arrived quickly afterward. 👌👌

Delicious unique comfort food. Every item on the menu had been excellent from the ribs to the boar and elk tacos. The servers try to push the specials a bit too much, but at least they are attentive and friendly. There it's a great indoor and outdoor bar with vast local beer and mixed drink selection. The outdoor it's really nice with all of the firepits. Parking for dinner is a pain during the week, so it's best to get there before 6 to ensure no wait.

Fantastic place for authentic Texas based food. Extremely comfortable and entertaining ambiance. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when offering suggestions, i.e. what their favorite meal was or recommendation on drinks. Fast service and the live music was an excellent touch to the overall experience. Will definitely return every time I am bag in the area.

The Ranch is a nice upscale-ish bar and restaurant right at the edge of Las Colinas. It's perfectly suited for business dinners and drinks as a result it usually always busy. While there is a parking lot, the restaurant is suited in a very busy strip mall with a lot of other restaurants so parking is hard; my advice is to use the Valet, they work on tips. They had a good country singer playing live during my last visit which was nice. The patio is really nice and relaxing. The cocktails are pretty decent, the beer selection isn't extensive but it's okay. Their food is good, I recommend anything and everything from the steak part of the menu. I had the opportunity to try a couple of people's food and it all tasted delicious. All in a decent place!
