A nice, friendly place to pick up authentic (but customized for the area) Cornish pasties and meat pies. Tastes differ, or course, but you'll find a combo of traditional flavors with weekly specials that get a bit more exotic. Starting is very limited, but pasties are more of a grab and go food. They also sell frozen versions that reheat surprisingly well.
Wow. Just wow! Not one for nostalgia, but you really brought me back to childhood today guys. First ever Google reviewYou really earned it! Top notch!!!!
Really Great Meat Pies!!!
After watching the Men in Blazers Show I really wanted to find some good meat pies. My son lives in the DC area and I went to the Pure Pasty company last time we visited him. It's a nice cozy shop and unfortunately I only had room in my ice chest for 3 pies. The pies are amazing. After baking, the crust is beautifully browned and really flaky and tender. The filling was delicious. It was really good hot out of the oven but maybe even better eaten cold. I'm a pie snob and these are some of the best pies I've ever bought anywhere. I've got to get back there but this time with a larger ice chest!!

Wonderful British pastries, both savory and sweet. The meat pies are also reminiscent of London. Highly recommended.
Wonderful pasties and sausage rolls. They taste great ordered fresh in store, but the frozen items are almost as good. We stock up on frozen pasties, pies and sausage rolls that you reheat in the oven for an easy weeknight meal with fries and some brown gravy. Recommend you pick up some HP sauce too! They have a nice selection of British candy and chips which are great, albeit a little pricey.
I absolutely love this place. It definitely has me coming back.
My personal favorites are the traditional with a little HP Fruity sauce, and the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Super tasty. A little pricey, but awesome and filling.
Amazing place to enjoy a little flakey, savory working man's staple. Even the upscale, non-Traditional pasties are wonderful. Especially appreciate the rhubarb when it's available. Friendly place to get your British tastes tingled.
We make a 30 minute drive here at least once a month to grab ourselves a tasty meal. The pasty crust alone is worthy of it's own delectable food group. Do not pass this place up or you'll be sorry!
I'm from England, but have lived in North Carolina for 11 years, and am visiting aunt here in North VA. This is the first traditional Cornish pasty that I have had since I was in the small beach town of Bude, England. THIS was INCREDIBLE. A complete, total pasty, made to PERFECTION. Im literally balling with joy at how good it was. THANK YOU so much for bringing this to the east coast USA!
Love love love the authentic meat pies! Taste just like home and you can get your fill of British and South African candies and treats too!
I really like this place for lunch or to take out for a simple dinner. Very tasty. Everything is are on location.
I've tasted a number of their pasties and they're all quite good. I enjoyed the lamb, and I don't usually eat lamb. But I have to give it up to the Traditional. Definitely check them out
A really unique place to eat! Tasty meat pies and treats, with a friendly staff. They also have frozen ones you can take home. Definitely not for everyone. I'll admit, I've had a few of their pasties I have not enjoyed as much as others. But all in all very good, and worth repeat visits.
