The owners were really nice. The girl who we met with was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed even though we got in a little late. In Marios Playhouse each dog gets their own kennel so when you leave your dog you know nothing can happen. There is plenty of room in each kennel. If we had two dogs we probably would have put them in the same one since there was enough room. Unfortunately due to ice and the snow the outside fenced in area was closed for a couple days while we were there. We will be planning another trip with more people out there and will most likely bring 4-5 dogs between our whole group. Definitely plan eating breakfast at the inn. They make awesome omelettes!

Fantastic place if you love to travel with your dog. Great dog care while you are out for the day. Clean kennel. Wonderful staff.

Great inn to stay with your dogs. Just far enough from town to feel like a country setting but can have great restaurants just 15 min away. Rooms are large and private. The owner is super nice and more than willing to assist in all your needs. This is a no frills inn so if you need jacuzzis , spas and someone always watching you this isn't it. The kennel was great for when we left our pup behind. Heated roomy and clean. Great 3 nights. The breakfast is a great added homey touch.

Fantastic dog friendly B&B in a historic house. The owner, Mitch, is super friendly and very knowledgeable about local history. He is also the breakfast cook, and does a great job in the kitchen. The rooms are all different, so each stay can feel like going to a different place!
We have a dog that we are very attached to, and we know how hard it is to travel with her. Lodging is probably the most challenging issue, and the Paw House Inn makes it a *pleasure* to have a dog with you. I cannot overstate how wonderful all the staff is, nor how wonderful the accomodations are for dog owners.
In addition, the Rutland area is full of things to do in summer and winter. There are many interesting shops and restaurants to visit. We have gone to the Inn twice, and plan to make this one of our regular holiday destinations.response / report this review -

Infested with bugs. Poorly maintained. Not worth half the nightly charge.

Quaint place, bed was really comfy, rooms are nice, dog run is nice, but Lock was broken on door, TV was hard to work, landscaping was uninviting.

Quant and quit. Perfect get away weekend with the dog. I'd suggest warmer months if you are not skiing.

Ideal for dog lovers. Look somewhere else for fancy accommodations. Come here to have your pups with you on vacation and have peace of mind when they can't join you on all of the activities.

Loved it! Went with my husband and our dog and were made to feel very welcome. We got good tips for things to do and a great breakfast, and our dog loved playing with the others and doing agility skills in the fenced area. While the rooms are not luxurious, they are large and comfy. All in all, a homey and welcoming place; we were happy, and our dog was delighted! We will return.
