A gem worth the journey. At the end of a Vermont country road where the hard top begins to end lies the picturesque West Hill House. It's slightly off the beaten path in the best possible way and worth the journey.

Susan and Peter have created the ideal New England bed and breakfast. Their beautiful bed and breakfast is adorned with cozy beds, tremendous fare and every amenity that you could ever need. The care and love in this b&b transported me miles and miles away from the stress and anxiety of my daily life. Please stay with Susan and Peter whenever you get the chance.

I’m a pretty private person, so I sometimes shy away from BnBs for more solitude when I’m traveling. The amazing experience Peter & Susan offered us at West Hill House may have forever changed that. The property itself is lovely, homey, and charming. Peter and Susan are truly remarkable, exceptional people. They are genuinely warm, welcoming, hospitable, kind, engaging, and entertaining. We really felt like we’d come to stay with old friends who told great stories, shared delicious food, and taught us a bit about drinking good scotch. We also met some lovely folks staying there at the same time and we enjoyed our visits over breakfast every morning.
You won’t go wanting for anything at the property - they’ve thought of everything. From a selection of pillows to a jar of reading glasses in case you forgot yours, they have you covered. It is an amazing location close to many of the outdoor activities we came to the area to enjoy. Peter & Susan had lots of great suggestions, and pointed us to what ended up being our favorite hike on the entire trip.
A sincere thanks to you both, Peter & Susan, for a truly special and unforgettable trip. We can’t recommend you highly enough, and we will most certainly be back to visit. Thanksgiving in Vermont sounds awfully charming!!

We stayed here for two nights. Susan’s breakfasts were delicious and Peter is a fountain of information on things to do and see. The grounds are beautiful. Snowball and Smokey are the resident cats and are super sweet (complete with extra toes!). They can serve alcohol and have a great selection. Their gift shop has some adorable items too. And what were the chances of coming to a place where not only the owners are from North Texas, like us, but four of the guests were as well plus a guest that lives in CA but went to the same college we did where as we now live in MA? Such a small world and we never would have had that at a hotel. We would definitely recommend staying here and plan to come back!

This was our 2nd stay and it was just as lovely as the first. This time was summer and everything was so green and beautiful. The grounds are just perfection. Go sit in the hammock and listen to the sounds of nature! It's the most relaxing place! The location is great too. Close to all the places you want to see. Just tell Peter or Susan what you want to do for the day and they will hook you up with all the info and directions! The breakfast is just delicious and the rooms comfy & cozy. You really cannot go wrong staying here. We just love it! We plan to visit in every season! Thanks again Peter & Susan for a much needed getaway!

Peter and Susan are wonderful hosts and take care of every detail to ensure their guests' comfort. Susan prepares a delicious three course hot breakfast every day, and we appreciated the extra effort of making meatless homemade sausage for the vegetarians in our family. There are always home-baked goodies, coffee and tea in the dining room. Guests have use of two living rooms and the library, with pool table and endless variety of books, games and DVDs. The honor bar is well-stocked with local beers, wine and spirits (including Scots-born Peter's collection of single malts). Rooms are extremely comfortable, each with fireplace, and have everything you could need including toiletries and robes. Sugarbush ski and golf resort is right nearby. There are many great restaurants in the area including American Flatbread and the Pitcher Inn, and Warren Store is great for lunch. Can't wait to visit again!

Our third visit in two years, the warmth of both the innkeepers and the bed and breakfast itself, keep us coming back. Susan and Peter are the consummate innkeepers, always there with suggestions on where to eat and where to go in the area, sprinkled in with personal stories of their lives. We are already planning our next trip to the area, either the summer to take advantage of the summer activities, or the fall foliage in the autumn, but definitely in the winter for more skiing.

There is so much to say about staying at the West Hill B&B. This B&B holds a special place in my wife and mines hearts. We have been coming to see Peter and Susan for 6 years now and we even got engaged there! It is such a warm and enviting atmosphere that has been created. Peter and Susan are the epitome of amazing hosts and are just genuinely great people to be around and talk to. Their hard work, dedication and love for their B&B is second to none. It's really something that needs to be experienced. My wife and I stay in the Garden Room every time, but ask anyone and they will all comment the same way, the rooms are spotless!! Anyway, go and see Peter and Susan and see for yourself!
