Best food I've eaten on Cape Cod in the 20+ years we have vacationed there!

The oysters are grown on their own farm and were excellent, we would rank them right up there as some of the best on the cape. Dinners and dessert were equally as good. With so many excellent places to eat throughout the cape we're always trying new places and don't give a lot of repeat business (not because we don't think highly enough but because of so many deserving options), but The Oyster Company made that type of impression. We will be returning.

3/31/2017 our anniversary looking forward to the rib eye steak. Well we have been pleased with our meals in the past.. well as of tonight we will not be going back. As usual I ordered the rib eye had a few bites and was not impressed at all, in fact it was terrible., it tasted like he had been frozen. I had asked for a medium and it was more than well done!Definitely not what I was expecting even the mushrooms and gravy were terrible. The waitress asked if I wanted to take the steak home, I said absolutely not! She reported it to the manager and he took it off our bill, she told he said he ( the manager) had the steak the night before and it was good. He never came to apologize or anythingnot acceptable! So much for our nice anniversary meal. However we did get shrimp and oysters for appetizers and they were very good.

A bunch of us went in for the oyster deal, we all ordered drinks and then a 50 oyster platter. We were psyched, but 3 rounds and an hour and fifteen minutes later we had to ask what the problem was. Newly sat tables all around us, with menus still in hand were being served their oyster apps and we were yet to see even one. They never offered an alternative, an apology, and literally tried some kind of Jedi mind trick on us, telling us that those were not the oysters we were looking for at all of the newly sat tables. We were pretty dissapointed, but afterwards we laughed at the absurdity of it. It was one of those "did that actually just happen?" moments. These guys are a joke, and they completely turned off two people in our group that run busy high-end seasonal rentals, pretty much the lifeblood of joints like this on the Cape. The potential for hundreds of recommendations went way, way out the window. I've been on the serving end of big groups gone wrong years ago when I was in the biz, and there are ways to rectify if not off-set kitchen back ups. This was just a SNAFU from server, to kitchen, to management. Probably best to avoid if you expect competent service or a straight answer from the "manager".

This is a great place for oysters and a good meal. I got a dozen and got the order in before 7:00 so it was a really good deal. Had a huge piece of tuna for dinner, also for a very reasonable price. It can get noisy but they have sound dampeners on the ceiling which help a lot.

Had a great dinner this weekend, only complaint is that we were in and out in less than an hour! The reason why that is a complaint is because we wanted to take our time, but the waitress put our order in and said it would be a while which was fine with us, but low and behold our oysters came out in 10 minutes. I would have like to enjoy the dinner and dessert which was the cranberry pie a little longer.
My husband had the stuffed Flounder which was very nicely presented and delicious and I had the Salmon which as delicious and I had the left overs last night.
All in all it was a great experience, the atmosphere is very comfortable and clean. Would definitely try it again, since that was our first time there.
