I was told two different things when making my appointment and the day of my appointment. The only person in the whole building who was friendly was Dr.Berk. I was blamed for the confusion on the phone and was pressured into getting additional x-rays that in the end Dr.Berk didn't even need. I was seen by 3 different ladies before I saw Dr.Berk and was told to explain myself and after doing so, was told that they weren't going to help me out. The only thing that saved this place was Dr.Berk which travels to different facilities so I will be switching on accounts of the other staffs rudeness and lack of professionalism with patients.
I am extremely happy with the physical therapy dept in Alachua. They are a great support system. They are knowledgeable and encourage you to ask questions about your treatment plan. No matter how many patients that are there, they always have there eyes on you. They care about your safety and your discomfort. I actually look forward to my appointments knowing that I'm going to be better because of their commitment. Thanks PT team!
I've been a patient on many occasions with Dr, Berk for knees--requested an appointment in severe pain for my back. The snippy, nasty receptionist let me know he was busy and couldn't see me for my back unless I went through the scheduling department for a new problem--30 minutes later, still no scheduler. Told me to go to the emergency room. I WILL NEVER USE THIS FACILITY AGAIN.
Dr. saw me the first day I broke my leg. Then referred me to another doctor, I waited two weeks. That doctor referred me to another specialist and I waited another week to even decide if I needed surgery. He called today and cancelled my appointment. It's three weeks now with no real treatment. UPDATE: it finally worked out well after three weeks. No problema now.
Terrible, overheard the doctor ask why he was helping these patients and then was done with our conversation 5 minutes after we met. I had two different areas with issues and he would only address one. I understand a policy with limits so people don't come in with aches all over. However to address two different issues is not difficult. Disappointed to drive to another city for severe pain to be treated so poorly.
