Thank you to The Marketplace for fantastic meal and 5 star treatment/food.
We came with a medium size group for a business meal and were accommodated better than anywhere else in town.
Amazing appetizers (charcuterie board out of this world good), for dinner we shared a bit of everything and was great!! Thank you to chef William and the staff. Can't wait to return!
Upscale place, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. As much as I did like it and might return, I'm giving it four stars. The New York-priced drinks (I don't mind paying for a crafted drink, but their cost made getting a nice local beer a more sensible option for me) and a hostess that wasn't sure if she wanted us there were a little disappointing. We were asked if we had reservations as they were expecting a large group; we thought that odd as there were only 3 other patrons in the whole place and it was already around 7:30pm on a Sunday (P.S. - no "group" ever came the whole time we were there). Maybe we weren't dressed up enough LOLin any event, despite those two things, our server was fantastic and it was a very nice, comfortable place.
They truly spoiled us for our dinner after our wedding. The food was divine. The ambiance was perfect for a late night ultra romantic dinner to celebrate the best of occasions
This place is amazing. Great atmosphere and staff. Food has to the best I've had in Asheville so far.
Terrific farm-to-table cuisine. Artfully presented. Outstanding experience at The Market Place
My husband I were in the area and this place was a suggestion from our bed and breakfast and we could see why. Food is art in this city and this place was no exception. Great service and food was fantastic.
Great food. Great food. Great food.
Did I say great food?
I'll be back. The brunch was incredible, coffee great and no plates were left full on our table. This was a great experience.
Catered to our event and expedited the bridal party's meal without question
Ate here last Friday night. Really cool space Excellent service. Food offerings are broad and well-conceived. That saidnearly everything we had was WAY over-salted. I understand the importance of salt in bringing out other flavors, but this was just way over the top. The outside of my grilled snapper tasted like bacon. The grits that came with my wife's scallops were inedible. Alsowe ordered mussels which come with grilled bread for sopping up the lovely sauce. The mussels were fantastic. But, every piece of bread was burnt. Not just a little too darkmuch of each piece of bread was black and tasted like charcoal. I asked our server if this was typical and she responded that it was owing to how it is "grilled" (and oddly she didn't offer to replace it). The wife and I paid $100 for dinner and two drinks (before tip). For perfectly executed food, that is not too much to ask in Asheville. But for that amount, I'd expect them to not salt everything to death and present me with bread which is charred into a carcinogenic mess. Too badgreat potential, but simply not worth the price point, in my humble opinion.
This place is amazing!! We've been such a hard table all night! From the host to the waiter to the kitchen to the management this place is seriously the the best all around!!! The food was amazing and every single person that works here is stunning! I will come back every single time I'm in Asheville!
Wonderful food!! One of our favorite places to eat at. It can be pricy depending on what to get but for the taste its well worth the money. I would say this place is more upscale and is a great place to take the wife for a romantic night out. They do have a bar with sports usually playing on the TV there. Love the layout of the resturant with the views of patton ave from the Windows. I would also recommend this to people wanting to take their girl out to a nice place.
It's just steps from the Haywood Park Hotel. The atmosphere is modern and people are friendly. I had the pepperdelle with lamb. It was delicious. The kids had trout. They finished it.
