Got a room here for a business event. Stay one night. Very nice but older hotel. The staff is very friendly. The decor inside and outside is very welcoming and organized. The rooms, at least the ones our business had, are small, but are comfortable with a nice sized bathroom. The only complaint we had was that in the morning it took around 15 mins for the hot water to get running. This is an old building with a lot of history, so we understood. They had a very nice breakfast layout in the morning. Good selection of food, and was very fresh and delicious. Fantastic way to start our day! We would highly recommend this hotel.

It was my first time to visit here. I checked in at 2 in the afternoon. The staffs here were very welcoming. I like their rooms, it has it's own tub. That was perfect night to relax..

So noisy I felt like we were staying in a tent. Stayed two nights and discovered that room service took the shower cap my wife used and didn't replace it, nor did the replace the coffee and cups. One reviewer commented on the bar, it's not open in the off season. Continental breakfast??? Only one unbooked room, but only one pan of eggs and only one waffle maker.even had to wait for coffee. Not staffed for the conditions. I'm going to have to be more careful about trusting reviews. Won't be staying here again. 👎👎

First time out in Port Clinton, Ohio. Stayed at the island hotel service was excellent, staff was amazing and showed great hospitality. I would like to thank Randall, Janet, and Daisy for the service they gave. I Defenitliy recommend to stay at this historic hotel. Again thanks to the staff.

Very historical hotel, definitely has character and charm. Nice, welcoming hotel staff. Beds are comfy. Breakfast could be expanded to include more options but not bad. Overall a good experience. Would recommend!

As long as you are coming for the historic you won't be disappointed. Rooms are small due to age of the place and most face away from anything interesting to see. On the second floor you could hear the bar all night long

Not a bad bar for a Historic hotel. I would visit again.

Sadly I have to give a mixed review. The lobby and restaurant of the hotel were charming, including the staff, but I quickly realized when I stepped off the elevator on to my floor the rest of the hotel was a different story. If you have ANY desire to get a moment of rest DO NOT STAY HERE. The main hall was dirty and extremely dated. The room was barely large enough to walk around the bed. It's fixtures and furnishings we're extremely old and worn. The bathroom was also extremely small and oddly enough so was the tub. The grout in the bathroom even had mold stains. The noise from the adjoining rooms and the exterior of the hotel prevented me from even getting much needed sleep. You could hear everything from the TV down the hall, to the person taking a bath in the floor above you, to the birds outside and passing traffic. Do not have any intent on having breakfast at this hotel either, even though they advertise. Some stale bread and some frozen solid English muffins along with watered-down coffee was all that greeted us. I don't expect much for a hotel room under $100, but I do expect to at least be able to sleep and have a clean environment to do it in. I had really been looking forward to staying in this Historic Landmark and was dreadfully disappointed.

Cute historic hotel, but be forewarned: the rooms, true to the era of the building, are very *cozy.* There's just enough room for the small dressers and the queen-sized bed. It was clean, but I can't imagine the noise if we had come during high-season. The walls didn't do much to keep out what sound there was. Finally, for the price, in off-season, I guess I would have expected a little more in terms of comforts/amenities. Not an unpleasant stay for the night, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay much longer.

Came in for just one night, had some business in town the following day. The standard rooms are small. Not like studio apartment small, but my wife and I couldn't pass each other on any side of the bed. Couldn't open the closet without hitting the bed. Also, no where to sit other than the bed, which doesn't help with putting shoes on or reading. For the price, I would've expected better accommodations.

Breakfast was decent but not impressive. Less selection than many much cheaper hotels.
