Nice environment, and friendly staff. Trivia night on weds is fun. Just wish they had more tables and chairs inside

Always a good time with friendly people. Just know that whatever you wear is going to smell like cigarette smoke when you leave. To me it's worth it once in a while to enjoy a local watering hole.

First time here with my wife, great place. It is a bar with hard wood floors and the prices for the drinks are priced right. This is a place to stop and have a drink. The live bands are great, came here when Hill Country Revival played. Great time, I hope you enjoy the place and give it an honest try.
Went back with some friends to just enjoy a place to drink and mess around.response / report this review -

This bar is home to a super-mixed crowd, so it's easy to feel comfortable. Love it. Will definitely go back.

This was the first dive bar I have ever been in. When I first walked in I was like "this is what a bar looks like". The live music is hit or miss but at least they book a lot of local bands. One suggestion I would make is having then make it a non-smoking bar again. That's my biggest complaint. The smoke will stay on your clothes for days.

The Hummingbird is a jewel of a place in Macon's charming downtown. The vibe is kinda junkyard chic, but the place is clean and well cared for. A large courtyard with tables and benches out back hosts a secondary bar for those interested in being in a quieter spot than the main room and it's stage. Smoking is allowed, free darts line an entire wall. Great selection of beer as well as mixed drinks.. Didn't notice any food, but we were there for the live music anyway. Met a lot of people so it seemed like a pretty friendly crowd. Got away with some cool band posters to add to my collection. I plan on going back next time I'm in Macon.

Had our first show at The Hummingbird last night. What an amazing place! From the moment we got there, there was nothing but love from all the staff and patrons. The vibes in that place are unbelievably warm and welcoming. And we can't wait to return! Don't miss out on checking this place out if you end up nearby!

As far as local music venues go this place is the place. The quality has gone slightly down music wise. In the summer there is a back patio that has a bar in the winter they pretty much close down the patio though. You can go out there but there's no heating

Already rated this place as a piece of true Americana but I guess because I visit it so much Google wants a second opinion..So it's dirty, bartenders suck and lousy atmosphere.And if YOU BELIEVE ANY OF THAT THAN I GOT A MAYONNAISE FARM FOR SELL FOR YOU

The Hummingbird is my favorite bar in Macon. It has a great atmosphere, a surprising selection of beer and is definitely the best live venue in this area. Ask for the Black and Tan then finish off with a 420 while listening to live music in historic downtown Macon.

Great place, great bands, great people. I've never been disappointed. This place is often packed but the wait times on drinks are 1-2 minutes tops. All the staff are very friendly and they have the best drink prices in town. It can be standing room only and the atmosphere is still laid back. 10/10 will visit again.
